Hidden Gems: Meet Nicole Aquilina of Dust to Glory LLC.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicole Aquilina

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Dust to Glory started as a small idea fueled by my passion for creating clean, organized spaces where people could truly thrive. When I launched the business, I handled everything myself—from cleaning to scheduling and even marketing—learning every step of the way. That hasn’t changed much; I’m still deeply involved in the day-to-day operations, but with time, I’ve been able to grow the business and serve more clients. Word-of-mouth referrals and my dedication to going above and beyond quickly helped the business grow. Over time, I built a loyal team that shares the same values, and together, we’ve expanded our services to meet the diverse needs of homes and businesses in our community. What began as a one-person operation has blossomed into a trusted company that takes pride in transforming spaces and building lasting relationships with our clients.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Bootstrapping a business from the ground up has been the most challenging yet rewarding experience of my life. There’s always a problem to solve, but each challenge strengthens your problem-solving skills and imparts valuable lessons. Every solution equips you better for the next hurdle.

This year, my greatest challenge has been managing rapid growth while finding the right team members to join me. Business growth occurs in stages, and each phase requires enhanced skills and innovative strategies to handle the increasing workload. When a single person manages every detail while facing triple the volume, burnout becomes a genuine risk.

Despite the demands of my CEO responsibilities, I sometimes roll up my sleeves and join my team in cleaning.
These moments ground me, foster camaraderie, and remind me of the importance of teamwork in building something great. Grit, determination, and a clear focus on long-term goals have been my saving grace through it all.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Dust to Glory LLC.?

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
Networking has played a pivotal role in the growth of Dust to Glory. For nearly three years, I’ve been part of a business networking group, which has given me invaluable opportunities to learn and connect with others. Many of these connections have blossomed into deep friendships and an incredible support system. Referring people within the group feels genuine because we truly care about each other’s success and want to see one another thrive. Building relationships with people who genuinely want you to succeed is priceless, especially since not everyone will share that sentiment.

If hiring a business coach isn’t feasible, consider finding a peer in your industry with whom you can share experiences and challenges. Personally, I’ve found it incredibly rewarding to seek advice from those with more experience and wisdom. I’m always eager to listen and learn from their insights, since their guidance has been instrumental in my own journey.

You also need a critic—someone who can be honest with you and help you view your business from multiple perspectives. This person isn’t afraid to point out blind spots or challenge your assumptions, pushing you to grow and make better decisions. A good critic provides constructive feedback while still believing in your vision, ensuring their critiques are aimed at helping you, not tearing you down. They can help you zoom in on the details you might overlook and zoom out to assess the bigger picture, offering a balanced view of your business. Surrounding yourself with people who offer both encouragement and accountability is essential for long-term success.
