Hi Melonie, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve always had a passion for photography, even back in high school when I took a photography class. I was the friend with a camera, always capturing moments with my friends. That spark turned into something more when I landed a job at Bella Baby Photography, focusing on newborns. It’s where I really honed my skills, and I started taking pictures of my own children, which deepened my love for family photography.

I love working with natural light, creating soft, warm images, and I enjoy capturing both candid moments and more posed, composed shots. As my portfolio grew, I decided to start my own photography business, specializing in family, maternity, senior, and newborn photography. I’ve also recently begun working on weddings, which has been an exciting new challenge.

This year, I’m expanding into studio sessions, offering even more variety to my clients. It’s been a rewarding journey, and I’m grateful to do what I love every day, helping people preserve memories that last a lifetime.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road. Every time I try something new, perfecting it takes time and practice. There have been struggles along the way—like balancing creativity with the business side of things—but each challenge has helped me grow. I’m always learning and improving, knowing that perfection comes with patience.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I specialize in family photography because there’s nothing more precious than capturing the wonderful moments of childhood. You only have so much time while your little ones are small, and preserving those memories is so important.

I also offer maternity, senior sessions, newborn photography, and have recently added weddings to my services. Whether it’s welcoming a new baby, celebrating a milestone, or saying “I do,” I’m here to document your story with care and creativity.

What sets me apart is my ability to create a relaxed, fun environment that brings out authentic moments. My goal is to create beautiful images that you and your family will treasure forever.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
The incredible support from my family. My children, Henry and Eleanor, are my biggest cheerleaders—they inspire me every day. My amazing long-time boyfriend, Danny, has been my rock, always encouraging,

I’m also deeply grateful to my clients, whose trust and support have helped me grow my business. Every family, couple, and individual I’ve worked with has played a huge part.
