Hi Dre, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My journey in Talent Acquisition (Recruiting and Sourcing) began over 10 years ago. Initially I was recruiting semi truck drivers and cargo van drivers for the transportation industry for companies such as Lasership and Panther. As I began my corporate career, I primarily hired hourly talent for pre production test cars for the Big 3 (Ford, Chrsyler (Stellantis), and General Motors). Right before Covid hit, I was doing project management in the live events industry ;In March of 2020 this all came to a halt. Immediately I had to pivot! Fast forward to September of 2021 I re-entered corporate America working with companies Such as General Motors and Siemens. In 2023, I started Talent Solutions Now. Talent Solutions now works with non profits and employers that want to drive change. As a professional speaker with extensive experience in talent acquisition (recruitment) , DEI Initiatives (diversity), and strategic workforce retention, I am equipped with the knowledge to connect individuals with employers for life changing opprotunities . In June of this year, I joined the National Speakers Association of Michigan as the Director of Virtual Programming. Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road of entrepreneurship is a tough journey that many people want to embark on, but are unaware of the challenges and hard work that it takes. Things that I have struggled with along the way include making mistakes and learning from them quickly, the ability to market oneself directly to a target market, promoting the business / brand on social media effectively. We live in the digital era where people want instant gratification; Thus, quantity outweighs quality of services provided at this point from all areas. I say all this to say, I struggled with finding a fine line between the too. Not having access to capital in the beginning was a struggle as well (the soloproneur grit is necessary). Learning to not only embrace failure, but being able to pivot and learn from my mistakes is the biggest thing that I believe has helped me grow as an entrepreneur and Speaker.

Talent Solutions Now is a boutique agency providing HR consultancy (via speaking engagements, keynotes, and programs) to small business owners , non profits and employers. Brand wise I am proud to have seen the impact from working with small business owners and franchisees. As a founder of a boutique firm, I have seen my efforts generate six figures of revenue for small business owners and franchisees.
