Hidden Gems: Meet Jordanna Cheifetz/Kirsch of jac digital Media

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordanna Cheifetz/Kirsch.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started JAC Digital in April 2017. I had just moved home from Los Angeles, where I’d been working in PR, and I was 24 years old with an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for social media. I didn’t have a full plan — I just knew I wanted to build something, so I said, let’s see what takes off.
I’m grateful my parents let me move back home in those early days. That support gave me the space to really invest in the business instead of just surviving. And invest I did — I didn’t take a salary for the first three years. Everything went back into building JAC Digital.
I got my first clients the old-fashioned way: 50 DMs and a lot of networking out east and out west. One client came from a cold DM, another from networking — and both of them are still with me today, nine years later. I grew slowly and intentionally. When I didn’t know how to do something, my answer was always: I’ll figure it out. That mentality — saying yes and finding a way — is honestly how I got to where I am today.
Now, nearly nine years in, JAC Digital is a boutique social media and content strategy agency. We’re based in Metro Detroit, but we work with brands across the country — from out east and out west to beyond. We work with brands in wellness, home, construction, finance, and more. I have a team behind me, and together we’re helping clients grow in a real, meaningful way. My whole philosophy is that connection is the new currency — and that’s been true since day one.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Running a business is not for the faint of heart — and no, it has definitely not been a smooth road. It’s been up and down, with a lot of blood, sweat, and tears along the way.
From employee challenges to navigating a constantly shifting market, to the evolution from perfectly manicured feeds to video-first content, to the rise of AI, to finding clients and keeping them long-term — every few years, the whole landscape changes and you have to change with it. That’s been one of the biggest challenges: staying ahead of the curve while still running the day-to-day of the business.
But honestly, every hard season has made me sharper, more resilient, and better for my clients. I wouldn’t trade any of it.

JAC Digital Media is a boutique social media and content strategy agency based in Metro Detroit. We work with brands in wellness, home, construction, finance, and more — helping them show up consistently, authentically, and strategically online. Our core services include social media retainer management, content days, influencer marketing, and consulting.
What we specialize in — and what we’re really known for — is building content that actually connects. Not just content that looks good, but content that drives real relationships and real results. I’m most proud of the relationships we’ve built. Some of my clients have been with me for nearly nine years, and that kind of loyalty says everything. We’ve helped brands grow from 20K to 200K+ followers, land media features, go viral, and get fully booked from social alone — but more than the numbers, I’m proud that our clients trust us with their brand.

How do you think about happiness?

I love being outside, soaking up the day, and spending time with the people I love most. There’s something about slowing down and just being present with good people that recharges me completely.
