Today we’d like to introduce you to Jenn Fishkind.
Hi Jenn, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started in 2013 when I hopped on the Pinterest bandwagon. Somehow, I had 1 million followers for my “want…need…love board”. I turned that board into a 3 million follower board and started my blog 2014. I didn’t even know what a blog was at the time, but focused on easy recipes for people who couldn’t cook! Fast forward to 5 million on Pinterest, 1 million on Facebook, and 1.5 million average monthly views on my website Princess Pinky Girl.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There is no rule book or instructions for blogging – those of us who have been doing it for a long time are writing the rule book while we go. What worked yesterday, may not work today, and what works today will probably not work tomorrow. You have to constantly reinvent yourself.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Princess Pinky Girl?
I specialize in easy recipes for people who either are not confident in the kitchen, don’t have time for it or don’t enjoy it but still want to be able to make good food, without the hassle. Our motto is “Making great food should be a piece of cake.” You will only see ingredients that you will likely have in your pantry and there is always a hack if possible.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Sprinkles. Sprinkles make everything better.
