Today we’d like to introduce you to Grace Miracle.
Hi Grace, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Long before becoming a mother, I felt deeply drawn to birth work and the beauty, strength, and transformation of becoming a mother. After welcoming my first baby and experiencing pregnancy, labor, and delivery firsthand, that passion was solidified. Eight months postpartum, I became a certified doula and began serving families as both a labor and delivery and postpartum doula, while also offering birth and postpartum photography. Alongside my birth work, I have intentionally created space for mothers to connect through playgroups, postpartum circle and organized group walks—offering a consistent, welcoming time for moms to come together, move their bodies, share stories, and build meaningful community.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
This journey has not been smooth or linear, and that has been one of its greatest teachers. The most challenging part of becoming a doula has been learning how to balance this work while being a mother myself. Since becoming certified, I welcomed another baby and found myself in the two-under-two season, navigating an unpredictable schedule while trying to care for, nurture, and be fully present with my own children. Holding space for families while also honoring my own family’s needs has stretched me in ways I never anticipated. And yet, it has also been incredibly fulfilling. Walking through similar seasons alongside the mothers I serve allows me to offer support that is deeply empathetic, honest, and grounded in real life—not perfection, but presence.
We’ve been impressed with Sol Doula Services, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I founded Sol Doula Services, LLC in early 2023, offering both labor and delivery doula support alongside birth and postpartum photography. As a hands-on, deeply invested support person, I provide more than physical comfort—I offer emotional presence, education, and steady guidance as families navigate pregnancy and prepare for birth. I walk alongside my clients throughout their journey and most often attend their births, serving as an advocate and an unwavering cheerleader. While I am not a medical professional, my role is to help families feel informed, empowered, and supported every step of the way. Ongoing care is at the heart of my mission, which is why my slogan is “Pregnancy, Postpartum, and Beyond”—because mothers deserve support long after they meet their baby.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
I believe much of my success as a doula comes from a natural ability to connect with people in a genuine way. I strive to create a space where mothers and families feel truly seen, heard, and respected, no matter where they are in their journey. I approach birth with warmth, positivity, and encouragement—often describing myself as a birth bestie—someone who shows up wholeheartedly, cheers loudly, listens deeply, and holds steady through both the beautiful and challenging moments. My goal is never to take the spotlight, but to help families feel confident, supported, and empowered as they write their own birth story.
