Today we’d like to introduce you to DJ Malky.
Hi DJ, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started everything from the ground up with no blueprint — just a vision, work ethic, and a willingness to outwork everyone around me. My journey really began at Grand Valley State University where I started DJing house parties while I was in college. What started as small college parties quickly turned into something much bigger. I became obsessed with the energy of live events, music, entertainment, and bringing people together. From that point on, I’ve been DJing consistently and building my name while learning the business side of entertainment at the same time.
In the early stages, I spent years networking, throwing events, building relationships, and figuring everything out in real time. There were a lot of long nights, risks, setbacks, and moments where I had to trust myself even when nothing was guaranteed. But I stayed consistent, kept showing up, and focused on building genuine relationships with people in entertainment, business, nightlife, and social media.
As things started growing, I realized I wanted to build something bigger than just being known as a DJ. I wanted to create platforms, brands, and opportunities for other people too. In April 2025, I launched 4 Point Entertainment Group, which became a major stepping stone in my journey. Through the company, I was able to produce events, create experiences, and work with talent and creators on a much larger scale. In January 2026, I sold the company, which was a huge milestone for me personally and professionally because it showed me that I could build something valuable from the ground up and successfully scale it.
From there, I continued expanding into talent management, content strategy, marketing, business development, and event production through MGEM. Over time, I’ve been fortunate enough to work with and bring out a wide range of artists, creators, athletes, entertainers, comedians, DJs, influencers, and public figures including Frankie LaPenna, YG, Salim The Dream, Pepe Garcia, Noah Danenhower, Bob Menery, Steiny, Austin Shepherd, Haha Davis, Romeo Becca, SIDEPIECE, Bryce Hall, Chaz Carti, Morice Norris, BossMan Dlow, Sam Wolfe, Worldoftshirts, Tee Grizzley, Mike Young, and Bret Ernst, along with many more. Those opportunities came from years of networking, staying active, building trust, and consistently creating value for people around me.
A huge part of my journey has been understanding the power of relationships and branding. I’ve always believed your network can completely change your life, so I invested heavily into meeting people, helping others, and staying connected. A lot of opportunities came simply from being reliable, moving fast, and being willing to work around the clock. Over time, I built a reputation for making things happen — whether that’s organizing events, connecting the right people, managing talent, building content strategies, or helping brands and creators grow online and in real life.
Today, I’m fortunate to be in a position where I’m able to run multiple companies, manage artists, creators, athletes, and personalities, travel, throw events, build brands, and still continue DJing — which is where everything originally started for me. I’ve built a worldwide network through entertainment, business, and social media, and I’m grateful for every opportunity and every person that’s supported the journey along the way.
At the end of the day, I still feel like I’m just getting started. My long-term goal has always been bigger than just personal success — it’s about building something that lasts, creating opportunities for other people, and continuing to leave an impact in entertainment, business, and culture.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely has not been a smooth road. A lot of people see the success now — the events, the relationships, the travel, the artists, and the opportunities — but they don’t see the years of stress, sacrifices, setbacks, and nonstop work that happened behind the scenes to get here.
One of the biggest struggles early on was trying to build credibility from nothing. When you’re young and trying to make a name for yourself in entertainment and business, a lot of people don’t take you seriously at first. I had to earn respect through consistency, results, and proving myself over time. I started DJing house parties at Grand Valley State University, and from there I just kept building, networking, and finding ways to create bigger opportunities.
Another challenge was balancing everything at once. Between DJing, running events, managing talent, creating content, traveling, and building companies, there were a lot of moments where I was stretched thin mentally and physically. Entertainment moves fast, and there’s constant pressure behind the scenes that most people never see. A lot of nights were spent solving problems, making things happen last minute, and carrying responsibilities that people around me didn’t fully understand.
There were also financial risks involved with building businesses and producing events. A lot of people only see the outcome, but they don’t see the investments, the losses, or the risks you take betting on yourself before anything is guaranteed. I had to trust my vision even during moments where things felt uncertain.
One of the biggest lessons came through partnerships and business relationships. Not everybody has the same work ethic, vision, or loyalty when things start growing. I learned the hard way that sometimes you outgrow people, and sometimes the people closest to the vision can end up slowing it down instead of helping build it. That taught me to trust my instincts more, move smarter, and protect my energy and business.
Building and eventually selling 4 Point Entertainment Group taught me a lot as well. It showed me what I’m capable of creating from the ground up, but it also showed me the importance of leadership, alignment, and surrounding yourself with people who actually bring value to the table. Sometimes success means knowing when to move on from situations that no longer match your vision.
At the end of the day, every setback helped shape me into who I am today. The pressure built resilience, the failures created experience, and the difficult moments forced me to evolve faster. None of it was easy, but I think that’s exactly what made the journey worth it.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about MGEM ?
MGEM is a modern entertainment, media, and talent management company built around culture, relationships, branding, and opportunity creation. At its core, the company focuses on helping artists, creators, athletes, influencers, entertainers, and brands grow their presence, expand their reach, and create long-term opportunities both online and in real life.
What makes MGEM different is that we’re not just focused on one lane. We operate across entertainment, nightlife, content creation, branding, marketing, talent management, event production, and business development all at once. Because of that, we’ve been able to build a strong network and create opportunities that connect multiple industries together. Whether it’s organizing events, managing talent, producing content, building marketing strategies, connecting people, or helping brands scale, we focus heavily on creating real-world impact and long-term growth.
A huge part of our success comes from relationships and understanding culture. We’ve built an organic network that stretches nationwide and internationally through years of consistent networking, collaboration, and being active in the entertainment space. Over time, that’s allowed us to work with and bring out major artists, creators, athletes, comedians, influencers, DJs, and public figures including Frankie LaPenna, YG, Salim The Dream, Bob Menery, Steiny, Bryce Hall, Haha Davis, SIDEPIECE, BossMan Dlow, Tee Grizzley, Worldoftshirts, and many more.
What also sets us apart is that everything has been built organically from the ground up. We didn’t come into the industry with major investors, shortcuts, or handed opportunities. A lot of our growth came from consistency, building trust, staying active, and genuinely helping people win. We pride ourselves on moving fast, adapting quickly, and understanding where entertainment and digital culture are headed before most people do.
Brand wise, one of the things I’m most proud of is the community and network we’ve built around MGEM. The brand has grown into more than just a company — it’s become a platform that brings together entertainment, business, music, creators, nightlife, marketing, and culture all under one umbrella. I’m also proud that we’ve been able to stay authentic while scaling. Everything reflects who we are creatively and entrepreneurially.
I want readers to know that MGEM is only getting started. Our goal isn’t just to create moments — it’s to build long-term brands, careers, and opportunities that last. We’re focused on continuing to expand into entertainment, media, live events, talent management, digital strategy, and business ventures while helping the next generation of artists, creators, and entrepreneurs elevate themselves as well.
We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
Something surprising that most people might not know about me is how much of my work actually happens behind the scenes. A lot of people see the events, the DJing, the content, the networking, or the people I work with, but they don’t realize how involved I am in the strategy, branding, relationship building, and business side of everything. A huge amount of my time is spent making connections, solving problems, creating opportunities for others, and helping ideas turn into actual businesses or brands.
I also think people would be surprised by how much I value loyalty, relationships, and long-term vision over short-term hype. In entertainment and social media, a lot of people chase quick attention, but I’ve always focused more on building something sustainable that can continue growing years from now. A lot of the opportunities I’ve had came from genuine relationships and consistency over time, not overnight success.
Another thing people may not realize is that even though I work in entertainment and move around a lot, I’m extremely hands-on with everything I build. Whether it’s content strategy, event planning, branding, marketing, talent management, partnerships, or business ideas, I’m heavily involved in the details. I genuinely enjoy building things from the ground up and figuring out how to turn creative ideas into real opportunities.
I also think people would be surprised to know that despite all the networking and public-facing work, I spend a lot of time thinking about the bigger picture and where culture, entertainment, and digital media are headed next. I’ve always looked at MGEM as more than just a company — I see it as something that can eventually become a major platform and ecosystem that connects entertainment, business, creators, and culture on a much larger scale.
At the end of the day, I think what surprises people most is that none of this was handed to me. Everything was built organically through relationships, consistency, risk-taking, and believing in a vision long before other people could see it.
