Hidden Gems: Meet Constance Brooks of Image Merchandise

Today we’d like to introduce you to Constance Brooks. 

Hi Constance, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
In 2014, I started attending Global Empowerment Ministerial (17910 Van Dyke, Detroit 48234), Founder Arthur Cartwright Sr. Mr. Cartwright is teaching people how to become entrepreneur, learning everything about business, and all for FREE! He taught me how to get my own products, build a website, becoming certified with the government, filling out grants, and learning how to get my products in multimillion-dollar stores. My business name is Image Merchandise, and I have had several products over the years. But my two biggest sellers are Cozie – Fabric Softener Sheets and Surefitt – Disposable Rubber. In just 2 months I has gotten my Fabric Softener Sheets in Fifty- five (55) supermarkets/ stores while still making deals with my Surefitt-Nitrile Disposable Rubber Gloves; a medical clinic, a few hairs stylist, and a few churches are using them now. It is just a matter of time that I will reach my goals concerning wealth. 

Did you know that Detroit is one of the top cities when it comes to poverty, unemployment, incarceration, and recidivism. Once I create enough wealth, I will one day be able to open my own building and hire young men from the ages 19 to 35 in the inner city of Detroit or giving those men who were incarcerated their first job back in society. I believe that when men are working there is less of a reason for violating acts to happen, and family values goes up. And let me act that I will always continue to give back to shelters and food pantries throughout the Detroit community. 

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I believe with any business you are passion about; you will have your ups and downs. However, hearing someone say no thank you or I got your card, I’ll call you (but never call) is part of the process. Also, your product may be delayed, friends and family will let you down and not support you, and you must know that you will lose money throughout your business growing. But NEVER STOP! 

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I am a woman-owned black-owned business. I’m a supplier that sells fabric softener sheets and nitrile gloves to the business customers and the general public. With my Cozie – Fabric Softener Sheet brand, I did my research to ensure that it had an awesome and fresh smell. That it was plant-based, has an expiration date on the box, and most importantly that the price was reasonable. While most fabric softener sheets reduce wrinkles and static cling, the consumer should want more out of their products, which is what I offer. I have testimonies after testimonies’ praising the smell and softest that Cozie-Fabric Softener Sheet has brought to their laundry items. My Motto: Just because you always brought the same brand doesn’t mean it’s the best for you! On the average, we are $2.80 less than the big-name band (120 sheets box) and offer more for the customer. And because I have been posting the great accomplishments Cozie has done, I have several customers across America that are loving my brand. Finally, I’m in 55 supermarkets and store across Detroit and the metro Detroit area,
