Today we’d like to introduce you to Brian & Malyn Sneed
Brian & Malyn, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
We are Brian & Malyn Sneed. We have 3 daughters, Skyler, Kaelyn, & Kalli. We have resided in Michigan for over 10 years now. Several years ago when we lived in South Carolina, Malyn was a wedding photographer. I became her assistant and second shooter. We fell in love with capturing the special moments on wedding days. We attended wedding festivals & shows, and enjoyed connecting with the brides. From their engagement photos to bridal portraits to the big day, we had the privilege of being a part of their journey. Fast forward to 2023 when our oldest daughter, Skyler, was married. All of the intricate details and moving parts of planning a wedding, reignited our passion. Later that year, The Stone Barn came up in conversation with friends. We had attended a couple of events there in the past, and thought the grounds were beautiful. I contacted the owner to see if he was willing to make a deal, and that’s how we became the new owners of the wedding & event venue we now call Blossom Pointe, located at 994 Blossom Road in Sherwood, MI.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
There has been a lot of hard work poured into Blossom Pointe since taking over in 2023. From new flooring and paint upstairs to a complete overhaul on the outside of the original barn. The two biggest jobs were erecting a 2,500 square foot aluminum framed open air chapel and building the 6,000 square foot enclosed pavilion.
We’ve been impressed with Blossom Pointe Wedding & Event Venue, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
2024 is a huge year for Blossom Pointe as we have added an outdoor open air chapel, and a 6,000 sf, enclosed pavilion on site to accommodate all of your wedding & event needs. We have also added a grain bin bar, cozy swings, and outdoor games to make your reception the most memorable celebration. We still have the original barn with interior space for smaller events, bridal party suite, restrooms, and a prep kitchen.
**Blossom Pointe also offers accommodations at The Stanton Manor, an 8,000 sf private residence, for you and your bridal party on your wedding weekend.
How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
We could not do this without our amazing venue manager, Ashley Kidney! She handles many day to day inquiries, a million little things that add up to big things, as well of day of event services.
