Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandy Penny.
Hi Brandy, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
MY JOURNEY — MORE THAN HAIR
Five years ago, I made one of the biggest and most frightening decisions of my life.
After 11 years in a career earning over $100,000 a year, I walked away from the security of a six-figure income to pursue something that had become much bigger than a career—it became my purpose.
As a stylist who personally lives with hair loss, I understood firsthand the emotions that can come with losing your hair. I understood how it could affect your confidence, your femininity, and sometimes even the way you show up in the world.
I knew I wanted to create something different.
So I took a leap of faith.
I invested my savings, time, energy, and everything I had worked for into my vision. Instead of simply leasing a salon space, I made the decision to purchase a building and create a permanent safe space for women living with hair loss.
That vision became B-Studio HLC.
A place where women can walk through the doors and know they are surrounded by people who understand.
A place where hair loss isn’t something you have to hide or be embarrassed about.
A place where cranial prosthesis services are about so much more than installing hair—they are about helping women regain confidence, restore a sense of self, and step back into life feeling beautiful again.
The journey hasn’t always been easy. Building something from the ground up requires sacrifice, patience, consistency, financial investment, and faith—especially when you’re creating something that didn’t come with a blueprint.
But for five years, we have continued to show up.
We kept learning.
We kept serving.
We kept growing.
And most importantly, we kept changing lives.
Today, when I look at B-Studio HLC, I don’t just see a business or a building. I see every sacrifice. I see every woman who trusted me with her journey. I see the purpose behind every difficult decision I made to get here.
And we’re still growing.
My vision is bigger than when I started. I want B-Studio HLC to continue becoming a place of education, support, restoration, and opportunity—not only for women experiencing hair loss, but for professionals who feel called to serve this community.
I walked away from a six-figure career because I believed there was something greater on the other side of fear.
Five years later, I’m still building it.
This is my journey. This is my purpose. This is B-Studio HLC.
It’s More Than Hair.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The journey hasn’t always been easy. Building something from the ground up requires sacrifice, patience, consistency, financial investment, and faith—especially when you’re creating something that didn’t come with a blueprint.
I had to learn how to market to women who shared my experiences, values, and understanding of hair loss. I had to figure out how to communicate the value of this service in a way that felt honest and compassionate—not sales-driven. I had to learn how to properly price a highly personalized service that requires time, expertise, quality materials, privacy, and ongoing support.
But one of the greatest challenges was learning how to earn trust.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
B-Studio HLC is a specialized hair loss and cranial prosthesis practice created to provide women living with severe to permanent hair loss with a private, compassionate, and professional environment where they can regain their confidence through customized, non-surgical hair replacement solutions.
What makes B-Studio HLC especially personal is that I am not only a stylist and Cranial Prosthesis Specialist—I am also a woman who lives with hair loss myself. I understand firsthand that hair loss affects much more than appearance. It can impact a woman’s confidence, femininity, self-image, and the way she feels navigating everyday life. That personal experience became the foundation of my business and continues to influence the level of care we provide.
What sets B\-Studio HLC apart is the **experience surrounding the service. We are not simply selling or installing hair. We educate our guests, discuss realistic expectations, customize solutions to their individual needs, provide ongoing maintenance and support, and create an environment where women can openly discuss hair loss without embarrassment or judgment.
Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
Trust is one of the most important parts of our brand. Hair loss is deeply personal, and many women come to us feeling vulnerable or uncertain about their options. We have worked intentionally to create a consultation and service process centered around education, transparency, privacy, compassion, and realistic expectations,so our guests can make informed decisions about their hair-loss solutions.
Ultimately, I want readers to understand that B-Studio HLC was built from personal experience, sacrifice, and purpose. Every woman who walks through our doors represents the reason I took the risk to build this business.
For us, a cranial prosthesis isn’t simply about replacing hair.. It’s about helping a woman recognize herself again, regain her confidence, and return to life feeling empowered.
