Hidden Gems: Meet Ashley Crowder of Luxe Links Michigan + See You Sunday Events

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Crowder.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My entrepreneurial journey started with a simple idea and grew into something much bigger than I ever imagined. By day, I’m a full-time medical sales representative with RHB Laboratories, but I’ve always had a passion for creating meaningful experiences and building community. I also wear my favorite title, “mom” to two amazing kids, which has taught me resilience, time management, and the importance of chasing your dreams even when life is busy. I first launched Luxe Links Michigan, a charm bar business that quickly became about much more than jewelry. I loved seeing how a simple piece could celebrate friendships, milestones, and memories while bringing people together. Watching women connect over something as simple as creating a custom piece made me realize I wanted to create even more opportunities for those connections to happen.

That passion led me to start See You Sunday Events, an event company dedicated to creating elevated, experience-driven markets that shine a spotlight on small businesses, especially women-owned businesses. Our signature events bring together shopping, food, live entertainment, networking, and interactive experiences, creating spaces where entrepreneurs can grow their businesses and guests can discover incredible local brands while building genuine connections. What started as one small business has evolved into a mission to help other businesses succeed. Through Luxe Links Michigan, I create keepsakes that celebrate meaningful moments and through See You Sunday Events, I create the moments themselves. Both businesses are rooted in the belief that community is built through connection, and that when we support one another, everyone rises together.

Looking back, it’s incredible to see how one idea turned into two thriving businesses, but I truly believe I’m just getting started. My goal is to continue building experiences that not only support entrepreneurs but also leave people feeling inspired, connected, and proud of the community they’re a part of.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The road definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but I wouldn’t change it. One of the biggest challenges has been balancing entrepreneurship with a full-time career and being a mom. Most people only see the events, the social media posts, or the finished product, they don’t see the late nights, early mornings, and countless hours spent building everything behind the scenes. With Luxe Links Michigan, one of the biggest obstacles was earning trust in a newer industry. I had to prove that charm experiences were more than just a trend by consistently delivering an elevated experience and building relationships one customer at a time.

Starting See You Sunday Events came with an entirely different set of challenges. Organizing large-scale events requires coordinating vendors, sponsors, venues, permits, entertainment, marketing, and countless moving pieces. There have been moments where things didn’t go as planned, timelines shifted, or unexpected expenses came up. I’ve learned that flexibility and problem-solving are just as important as having a great idea. Another challenge has been learning to wear every hat. From marketing and accounting to sales, event logistics, customer service, and creative direction, I’ve had to teach myself skills I never imagined needing. There have been plenty of moments of self-doubt, but I’ve learned that growth happens when you’re willing to step outside your comfort zone.

Through every challenge, I’ve kept coming back to my “why.” Luxe Links is about creating meaningful connections through jewelry and See You Sunday is about creating meaningful connections through community. Remembering that purpose has helped me push through difficult seasons, and every obstacle has ultimately made both businesses and me stronger.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Luxe Links Michigan and See You Sunday Events were both created with the same mission: bringing people together through meaningful experiences. Luxe Links Michigan is a custom charm experience that transforms jewelry into something deeply personal. Whether we’re popping up at professional sporting events, private parties, corporate activations, or community events, every piece is customized to tell a story. What sets Luxe Links apart is that we’re not simply selling jewelry, we’re creating moments that people remember long after the event is over.

That passion for creating memorable experiences inspired me to launch See You Sunday Events, an event company focused on producing elevated, experience-driven markets that spotlight small businesses, particularly women-owned brands. Our events go far beyond traditional vendor markets by incorporating immersive activations, thoughtfully designed spaces, networking opportunities, live entertainment, food and beverage experiences, and partnerships with local organizations and larger brands. Every detail is intentional because I want guests to leave feeling inspired, connected, and excited to support local businesses. What I’m most proud of is the community we’ve built. Through both brands, we’ve created opportunities for entrepreneurs to grow their businesses, collaborate with one another, and gain exposure they may not have otherwise had. At the same time, we’ve created experiences that encourage people to shop local, build relationships, and celebrate the incredible talent within our community.

As both businesses continue to grow, my vision is to expand beyond Michigan and become known for creating unforgettable experiences that make people feel connected. Whether someone leaves with a custom charm necklace or memories from one of our signature events, my goal is always the same: to create experiences that bring people together and support the communities they serve.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
My biggest piece of advice is to start before you feel ready. It’s easy to wait until everything is perfect, but the truth is you’ll learn more by taking action than you ever will by overplanning. Some of my biggest opportunities came simply because I was willing to put myself out there, even when I didn’t have all the answers. I would also encourage new entrepreneurs not to compare their beginning to someone else’s middle. Social media often shows the highlights, but behind every successful business are long nights, setbacks, mistakes, and moments of doubt. Those challenges aren’t signs that you’re failing, they’re part of building something meaningful. One lesson I wish I had learned sooner is the importance of building relationships. Your network truly is one of your greatest assets. The connections you make, the people you support, and the way you treat others will often open more doors than any marketing strategy ever could. Nearly every major opportunity I’ve had with both Luxe Links Michigan and See You Sunday Events has come through genuine relationships and word-of-mouth.

Finally, remember your “why.” Building a business is hard, and there will be moments when you question whether it’s worth it. When you have a purpose that’s bigger than yourself, it becomes much easier to keep moving forward. For me, that purpose has always been creating spaces where people feel connected, where small businesses can thrive, and where community comes first. If you stay focused on serving others and remain consistent, success has a way of following.
