Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Tootsie Bluffins was created when we began our families and realized we wanted the availability to have a more flexible schedule than a 9-5 would allow with little ones at home. Our grandmother, Harriet Booth, began baking with us from very young ages and we always enjoyed it! Fast forward to adulthood, we both found ourselves with dietary restrictions and decided to embark on an allergy inclusive, baking journey! Today we have been in business for over 6 years and have become well established with wedding venues like Castle Farms, as we serve our community a wide array of custom dessert offerings.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
We have been incredibly blessed with wonderful community support which has made our journey much more enjoyable! In our first year, we were working our 9-5’s and baking late at night to test the waters before jumping off full time, while pregnant and having our first sons at home. This was probably the most challenging part of our journey! Finding a work life balance can be difficult with entrepreneurship as it’s hard to turn the business side off. Ultimately, we have been very fortunate to have a more or less smooth sailing business experience!

Tootsie Bluffins is custom confections company with an emphasis on dietary restricted needs! We specialize in dessert bars, wedding cakes, special occasion cakes, and all things baked goods. At Tootsie Bluffins we are well known for our products made without gluten or dairy, while not hindering the quality or flavor of the product! Eclectic and vibrant cake designs are some of our favorite creative mediums and we pride ourselves on creating beautiful edible creations to fit our customer’s vision.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
We see ourselves continuing to expand into the wedding industry through our dessert bars and full setup and design service offerings. We are seeing a shift in our industry as a whole with higher demand for special dietary needs, which we are prepared to help with!
