Exploring Life & Business with Xavier Eastway of Agape Health Care Schools

Today we’d like to introduce you to Xavier Eastway

Hi Xavier, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
History: Agape Schools started in December 2013 with the mission to fill the local Nurse Aide need in the greater Cadillac area. God lead the members in the community to develop training that was focused on selflessness as individuals cared for residents, clients, and family members in their community. Selflessness, in the way Christ died for our sins so that we could have the opportunity for life, eternal life.

January 2016 the business was converted to a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization in order to further expand the training throughout northern Michigan and to be able to offer additional programs. As the need continues to arise Agape School continues to serve where called. With locations at designated training classrooms or being hosted at hospital and nursing homes our focus remains on training students to make a difference in their communities through selfless work in the health care fields.

We desire to provide career training for students who desire to make a difference in their community. We offer CNA (Nurse Aide), EMT (Emergency Medical Technicians), MFR (Medical First Responder) Courses, plus we provide BLS & CPR certifications. There are scholarships available for our training courses.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There are always challenges along the journey, but none are greater than our Lord. His blessings are always greater than the challenge.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Passionately educating students to serve in their communities in the name of Christ.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
There is no ‘luck’ it is about how God leads to work in other people’s lives to share His love for them. From administration to employees to instructors to students to the people we care for, God brings us together in His perfect ways and His perfect timing.
