Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Zair-Yalda. Them and their team share their story with us below:
Dr. Zair-Yalda graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2010. After graduating she worked at Kresge Eye Institute in Detroit, MI. In 2013, Dr. Zair-Yalda purchased a practice in Ypsilanti, MIchigan where she began her private practice journey. Over the course of the next 8 years, Dr. Zair-Yalda acquired 4 more practices. These are located in Lake Orion, Southfield, Farmington Hills, Southfield, and Novi, Michigan. At these offices, Dr. Zair-Yalda and her associates are better able to serve the community with their visual needs. In the Novi office, Dr. Zair-Yalda is the only Doctor in Michigan who fits patients in the Eyeprint lens and she also fits specialty lenses, starting in infants. Dr. Zair-Yalda has always had the drive to help others, from the get-go, she has always put in 110% and can never turn away any patients. Her drive and passion have made her an exceptional doctor who is constantly giving back to the community.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has definitely has not been a smooth road. Dr. Zair-Yalda has gone through many challenges since graduating, but she always stays positive and learns from any challenges that arrive. After suddenly losing her dad in 2019, Dr. Zair-Yalda lost her best friend and mentor and felt like it was close to impossible to continue moving forward. But keeping his drive and passion for helping others and working hard, Dr. Zair-Yalda acquired her 4th and 5th practices after this tragic incident, when asked, she always states that helping others and working hard are very important and that any setbacks or roadblocks are only there to help you learn and become a better person. I
Dr. Zair-Yalda also has a family. As a wife and mom to three beautiful children, she is constantly trying to balance the work/home life. Her kids are her greatest blessings.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
2020 Family Vision is a family-owned Optometry practice(s). They specialize in Othokeratology, Eyeprint, pediasite and Specialty lenses, Dry Eye treatment, and treatment of Glaucoma. Dr. Zair-Yalda is the only doctor in Michigan certified to fit Eyeprint. She has been doing orthokeratology for many years now and is up to date on all the new technology and options for myopia control. Her associates specialize in dry eye treatment and posterior segment disease. The 2020 family vision team of doctors are all-around well versed, knowledgeable, and have great bedside manner.
In addition to the specialty services all the office provide comprehensive eye exams, contact lenses and provide the newest technology to do so.
All the doctors at 2020 Family Vision use the newest technology in both contact lenses and eyeglasses to ensure all of their patients can not only see but are maintaining the healthiest eyes they can.
2020 Family Vision takes pride in giving back to the community and helping any individual in need. 2020 family vision donates to charities yearly and donates their time and expertise doing exams or providing services/materials to those in need.
The family-owned company is also proud to be able to have formed a family with each of their employees. They understand that their employees have lives outside of work and take pride in being able to help provide each of their employees with not only a “work-life” but also time for their families. They stress a work/home balance. This is in addition to creating a fun, enjoyable workplace where each employee can call their second home.
What are your plans for the future?
2020 family vision actually just finished a big remodel and expansion of their Farmington Hills and Southfield offices. The Southfield office was able to merge into the Farmington hill’s location. This location can now offer more services and products, all with the same great doctors and staff. The office is still a work in progress but we are excited for patients to see the new look! We added 4 exams rooms and added more frames and are able to carry many more frame lines and choices. Dr. Rudolph DeMercurio, Dr. Tiffany Zair-Yalda, Dr. Saly Elias, and Dr. Stephanie Krieg all see patients out of this location.
Going forward, growing as team and continuing to learn about new services/products is always on the mind of each of the doctors.
We never know if well be adding more locations, although we are always looking to expand our team and grow together in order to help the most amount of patients we can.
