Today we’d like to introduce you to Shaza Noureddine.
Hi Shaza, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started initially from my home. I had noticed that when I went to weddings or special events that people would go to hair salons to fix themselves up and I wanted to do the same for myself. I would design my scarf up and soon friends started asking me to design their scarves as well. From there, word of mouth spread, and random women would be contacting me to design their hijabs. I opened up a room in my home for business in 2008. Within a few years, I had a steady clientele and opened up a hijab boutique in 2010. From there, I was given many opportunities over the years. I was invited twice to be featured on local news, have worked a head wrap expo, been featured in a gallery, host a fundraising fashion show, traveled for weddings to design bridal scarves, and much more. Recently in 2020, we upgraded to a larger boutique so I can work in a bigger space and currently sell my own brand in the shop as well.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Thankfully, I have had a smooth journey, especially with the support of my family throughout the way.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My boutique sells all types, materials, and colors of hijabs. Along with hijabs, I also sell modest clothes, cultural clothing, and dresses. I am known for the hijab designs/wraps. I am very proud of the relationship I have built with my customers and am blessed to have formed a connection and been invited to many weddings as a result of it
What are your plans for the future?
I’m looking to expand my business with other facets of my life. I am currently in the process of opening up a new business selling gems and crystals
