Today we’d like to introduce you to Saina –> Sai Sajjadi.
Hi Saina –> Sai, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
In 2019, at 39 years old, I was diagnosed with cancer—something I never expected to hear. I had always seen myself as pretty healthy, so the news really made me pause and rethink everything. As I dug into research, I learned how much chronic stress and high cortisol can slowly wear down the body, creating the perfect environment for illness. That understanding became a turning point for me.
I began to change my life in very intentional ways—my food, my movement, my environment, and especially my stress. I wanted to reduce toxins anywhere I could and create a lifestyle that truly supported healing. That’s actually why I first got goats. I wanted a natural, insecticide-free way to maintain my land because choosing non-toxic options became deeply important to me. What started as eco-friendly lawn care quickly became something more meaningful.
At the same time, I immersed myself in holistic wellness: nutrition, breathwork, mindfulness, yoga. The deeper I went, the more I felt myself reconnect—body, mind, and spirit. Becoming a yoga instructor wasn’t just a career shift; it was part of my healing. Movement and breath gave me a sense of calm and clarity that I hadn’t felt in years.
And the goats? Their gentle presence and playful energy reminded me daily to slow down, smile, and be fully in the moment. They became part of my healing, too.
That’s how Let’s GOAT! came to life.
Goat yoga became this beautiful blend of everything I believe in—natural living, stress relief, mindful movement, joy, and connection. When people come to my sessions, my hope is simple: that they breathe easier, feel lighter, and leave with a little more peace than they arrived with.
It’s not just yoga with goats. It’s a non-toxic space for healing, grounding, and uncomplicated joy.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Building Let’s GOAT! has come with plenty of challenges. I’ve handled most everything from the ground up on my own, with my family stepping in to help when they can—something I appreciate deeply, even though it makes me feel guilty for relying on them to volunteer as we just launched Let’s Goat! in the Spring of 2025 and are just learning how to make everything run smoothly.
When I first brought home the goats as part of my shift to a non-toxic lifestyle, I had no idea how much I’d have to learn. There’s no manual for this. I had to teach myself everything—feeding routines, training, fencing, minerals, health checks, hoof care, safety, and all the technical pieces that go into caring for animals and maintaining the property. It’s been a lot of hands-on, trial-and-error learning.
The business side has been just as demanding. Marketing a small business today is tough, especially when social media algorithms tend to bury small accounts unless you’re constantly posting and engaging. As a one-person operation, it’s nearly impossible to keep up, and it can feel like you’re working twice as hard just to be seen. That level of visibility can also feel vulnerable, and at times it opens the door for people to underestimate or take advantage of your work.
Wearing every hat—caretaker, marketer, planner, bookkeeper, problem-solver—has been overwhelming at times. But every challenge has pushed me to grow and reminded me how much heart and purpose I need to have in order for Let’s Goat! to survive and thrive.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Let’s GOAT! is a small, heart-driven goat yoga business that blends mindfulness, movement, and the joy of connecting with animals in a really natural, down-to-earth way. While I host sessions on my property in Whitmore Lake, I also travel with the goats so I can bring these experiences directly to people. One of our favorite partnerships has been with Wolverine Pickleball, where we’ve been offering indoor goat yoga in Ann Arbor since the summer. It’s been an amazing way to reach people who may not have the chance to come out to us.
People often tell me that what makes Let’s GOAT! special is the atmosphere I create—calm, welcoming, and full of genuine connection. The goats aren’t just a cute add-on; they have a way of pulling people out of their stress and into the present moment. I focus on simple, accessible movement and a really grounding experience that feels good for all levels. It’s not about perfect poses. It’s about breathing, laughing, and letting your shoulders drop for a little while.
What sets my business apart is how personal it is. I’m the one caring for the goats every day, setting up the space, packing the trailer, and showing up with intention. Every class—whether it’s on my land, in a community space, or at a special event—is created with a lot of heart. I put a lot of care into making sure people feel safe, welcome, and supported from the moment they arrive.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the feeling people leave with. Folks walk away saying they feel lighter, happier, and more grounded. To me, that’s the true purpose of what I offer. Beyond public classes, I also host private group sessions, corporate wellness events, birthday celebrations, and creative goat experiences—always with the goal of helping people reconnect with themselves in a natural, joyful, non-toxic way.
What I want people to know is simple: Let’s GOAT! isn’t just yoga with goats. It’s a chance to breathe, reset, and experience something real and meaningful, even if it’s only for an hour. If someone leaves smiling and feeling more at peace than when they arrived, then I’ve done exactly what I hoped to.
How do you define success?
For me, success isn’t measured in numbers, followers, or how “big” a business gets. I define success by the impact I leave on the people who walk into my space—or the spaces I bring the goats into.
If someone comes in stressed, overwhelmed, or carrying the weight of their day, and they leave smiling, breathing more deeply, or saying, “I really needed that”… that’s success to me. If a class helps someone reconnect with themselves, feel joy again, or simply forget about life for an hour, then I’ve done my job.
Success is also about alignment—living in a way that reflects my values. Creating a non-toxic, nature-centered, heart-centered business after everything I’ve been through feels like success in itself. Just waking up every day, caring for my goats, building this from the ground up, and continuing even on the hard days—that’s success.
It’s the steady moments:
When someone hugs a goat for the first time.
When a child or adult who’s had a rough week laughs again.
When people tell me the session helped them sleep better, ease anxiety, or reconnect with their body.
That’s what success looks like to me—creating experiences that make people feel lighter, more grounded, and more human. If I can do that, even for one person at a time, then I feel successful.
