Hi Roxana, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Early Years
I’ve always been a mix of an A student and a school dropout, largely due to my health struggles. Over the years, I’ve taken a variety of courses in both college and university. After high school, I dreamt of becoming an accountant and went to business school, where I studied economics, finance, accounting, human resource management, marketing, and more. Unfortunately, I had to drop out due to health issues and switched to studying biology and chemistry. I excelled in these subjects and entered nursing school with straight A’s, but once again, my health forced me to drop out. I’ve worked various jobs, including stints at Tim Hortons and a mushroom farm.
COVID-19 Period
During the COVID-19 pandemic, I turned to painting, focusing on abstract art. I created a collection of 32 paintings, which helped me cope during that difficult time. I then ventured into the world of NFTs, transforming my paintings into digital assets on OpenSea and managed to sell a few.
Present
Currently, I’m a proud parent to my two-year-old daughter, Emily. I’ve also started a business selling skincare products like soaps and serums on Amazon. In addition, I’m a social media influencer, promoting my business and engaging with my audience across various platforms.
Future
Looking ahead, I hope to get married, see my business flourish, and watch Emily grow into an amazing individual.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
My journey has definitely not been smooth. From 2013, I’ve been battling Schizoaffective Disorder, a condition that seemed insurmountable until three years ago. That’s when we found the one medication that changed everything, allowing me to regain my life and go into remission. Thanks to this breakthrough, I now have a healthy baby girl and have started my own business. It feels like a full circle moment, overcoming all these hardships, and I am grateful for every minute I have.
