Exploring Life & Business with Rondré Brooks of New Way Realty Partners

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rondré Brooks.

Hi Rondré, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I grew up on the east side of Detroit and attended Osborn High School. After taking a gap year, I enrolled in Ferris State University but dropped out after my freshman year. Shortly after, I began a career as a rap artist and aspiring actor. Trying my hand at those two career choices didn’t pan out the way I expected, and I hit a slump. Also, I became a father to my daughter, Karise René during that time. With no formal education and a blemished past, I was able to overcome many obstacles and become one of the biggest real estate professionals in Michigan. I started my career in real estate in 2015 and 7 years later I’ve closed hundreds of transactions and racked up over 30 million dollars in real estate sells. In 2022, I wrote my first memoir, Broken Rungs that has received positive reviews. Also, I’ve been working on some new music (because it’s fun and I love to create), and next year, I’ll be co-starring in my first feature film, “Omission” alongside Tray Chaney and Don Brumfield.

My determination is probably one of my most distinguishing qualities. I never gave up even during the times when my path was unclear.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
I’m an advocate for mental health and attending therapy. I dealt with “daddy issues” for many years because he was an absentee father, and I couldn’t wrap my head around the fact that he wasn’t active in my life. I carried that hurt into my adult years and finally made amends with it this year. Also, being a father wasn’t easy after spending several years in Family court fighting a custody battle. I worked dead-end jobs and hustled in the streets trying to make ends meet. Some of the struggles I experienced were self-inflicted from being careless and ignorant to things while others were out of my control and life happened. Regardless, I was able to correct mistakes and shift the outcomes to a favorable position for me overall. Therapy helped me tremendously this year, I was able to find peace and discover so many great things about myself that I didn’t realize was there from the start.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
As a real estate brokerage, we focus on financial freedom. That is the goal with us. New Way Realty Partners is an innovative way to sell real estate. It was founded under the concept of Growth & Legacy while focusing on the returns for individual brokers and agents.

I am real estate broker, businessman, investor, and entrepreneur. I sell residential and commercial real estate while managing a team of real estate salespeople new and seasoned in the industry. As an investor, the strategy ranges from fix & flip opportunities, buy & hold investments to generate cashflow, and owning shares in a REIT (Real Estate Investment Trust). I’ve also provided transactional funding for wholesale deals.

I’m most known for my transparency professionally and personally. In business, I believe in full disclosure, ethics, and values. I apply those same principles to my personal relationships as well.

What sets me apart is the fact that I did thing my way! I didn’t follow a specific blueprint to get to where I am. I’ve been able to navigate and scale my business by taking calculated risk and building a network and infrastructure that’s been sustainable in the real estate industry.

My brand is built around me and my likability. With the influence of social media, I’ve been able to reach and interact with people from all walks of life. Having a little charisma and finesse, I’ve been able to build a brand that focuses on the power of ownership and legacy in the urban communities.

My brokerage offers full-service real estate while bringing an exceptional level of professionalism and skillset to our clients.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you.
Being lucky has created so many opportunities in my entrepreneurial career. Meeting the right people and connecting with them to acquire real estate has garnered me success and financial freedom that I used to dream about. Good luck was me taking the call from a movie director and accepting the part in a feature film. I almost didn’t answer the call. Good luck is being able to afford my daughter opportunities that I wasn’t privy to as a youth.
