Today we’d like to introduce you to Raechel Morrow.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
When I was younger, I felt like my emotions, and my surroundings ruled me. Somebody I talked to seemed sad, and I would quickly become sad. I could not turn off my ability to read energy and body language everywhere. I had no idea the reason I felt so intensely was simply that my central nervous system is more active than some others, and I am not alone. I have always been deeply spiritual. From my earliest memories and actions, I deeply understood there is something bigger than I, my experiences, my meaning, and my beliefs. I could feel the connection. This deep feeling, intuition, and inner knowing is my soul, my blueprint, and my gift.
However, as any good story goes, the protagonist must face many trials and hardships, my story is no different. Because of the complexity of my youth, I had to grow up quickly, and learn to put on a brave face, as I was often placed in situations that required maturity and problem-solving way beyond what my adolescent years could manage. At the age of sixteen, my mom was hit by a car and killed. On that day, any last innocence and connection was lost for a long time. The natural essence of Raechel was replaced by a hard shell of inauthenticity. I learned to cope by escaping, numbing, and busyness. I had no ability to sense, feel emotions, or connect with anything bigger than myself.
What was NOT modeled to me anywhere was wholeness. I embodied the lie that I would be okay and happy if I lived a perfect life or found success in the material world. I painfully failed at perfection, showed no vulnerability, worked beyond my means to achieve status and “things” and hid behind lies.
My life today and its impact on humanity is not because I am overly intelligent, special, or gifted. I have failed more times than I care to write in this short bio. It is the struggle, pain, and failure that taught me resiliency, love, and wisdom. I am the person I am today because I leaned into vulnerability, I could receive, and learned to make my body a priority. Over time, my sensitivity returned, and in the years following, I remembered the lost parts of myself. I began to remember parts of myself that had never been expressed, buried deep. Life and my body slowly became more sacred. I learned the nature of reclaiming the intrinsic relationship with myself and all things. I remembered the connection outside my ego and the sacredness of life.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The simple answer is NO. If you have a smooth life, you will miss out on much depth. You can learn a lot about yourself when you’re scared. I call the edge the place of transformation. Edge is the place where you feel the most and are alive. Not going over the edge but just enough to feel scared, your heart pounding, body talking, and intuition in high gear. When we look back at our lives, we don’t remember the times when everything went well. It is the struggle that connects hearts. It is failure that teaches wisdom. If you don’t have an edge in your life, maybe you should change your life.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about The Body Mind Being Institute & Soul-Centered Women?
The Body Mind Being Institute started out as Grand Rapids Healing Yoga in 2016. In 2020 we outgrew our name as we began offering our services globally. BMBI is for any person who wants to live and study yoga as an embodied part of their life. Yoga is a system of healing, connection, and resiliency. We hold the perspective that yoga can be used to become aware of, and build, your way of BEING. That’s the critical bit. Embodiment can be defined as the bodily aspect of WHO and HOW we are, and yoga can restore your natural blueprint. The world is our container. All of our programs include a retreat/pilgrimage. We live in a fast world. Feeling overwhelmed is the new status quo. It is hard at a fast pace to embody yoga. Having time away can help you find your way back to yourself. Holding the space for you to slow down, rest, integrate, and simply be.
Offerings:
* Yoga Pilgrimage/retreat
*200/300 Hour Trauma-Informed Yoga Teacher Training
* 350/850 Yoga Therapy Training

Soul Centered Woman is the platform I witness my private, couples, and group clients. It is Yoga Therapy Meets Depth Psychology: The intention of a session is to embody the sacred and meet one’s soul. All my clients are healers, coaches, therapists, and entrepreneurs in their own trade. By the time I begin in a relationship with a client, they are already active and far into their healing journey.
Most of my clients find me quite auspiciously. If you are ready for deep transformation, a strong commitment to your internal world, a desire for deep connection, and the need to reclaim lost parts from trauma and/or false narratives, then this work is for you. Yoga therapy, energy and ancient healing traditions are an integral focus of my practice. I specialize in Jungian psychoanalytical therapy, spirituality, meditation, and my favorite part is being in mystery.
All my sessions are unique as I recommend longer sessions, with more duration in-between sessions. I like to share sessions that look and feel different from a session with a therapist who has had training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Sessions with me are non-directive, open-ended, and body/energy based. My work comes in many forms depending on the client’s needs/wishes.
* Online Session
* Two-Hour Session
* Half or Full Day Sessions
* Two-Hour Couple’s Sacred Intimacy Session
* Private or Semi-Private 2- or 3-Day Retreat
Group work is a beautiful experience of women being together to empower and witness each other in deep relationships.
* I offer a yearly 9-month Heroine’s Journey
* 8-week anxiety Alchemy
* Return to the Sacred Feminine 9-day retreat. (This year was Belize and next year will be announced soon)!
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
In daily life, to prevent drowning in survival, submerse yourself in what is also sacred to you.
