Today we’d like to introduce you to Noah Ballard.
Hi Noah, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I grew up with horses since before I could walk, as I grew up, they taught me a lot about life, not sure what direction I wanted to take exactly outside of high school I tried college for a little while but knew it wasn’t where I wanted to end up, I worked a few jobs and found what I wanted to do as I went to horseshoeing school and graduated, and then built my business from the ground up here in mid-Michigan. This career has taught me so much about life as well!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not, I think anything worthwhile can be hard when you’re first starting out, especially learning a new career and starting a new business, some of the struggles was putting myself out in a new area, not knowing many people, it was also a struggle learning new things to hone my trade even better. I’m so thankful I stuck with it.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Ballard Farrier Services?
I own and operate Ballard Farrier Services, I specialize in the lower limb of the Equine, I’m known for being reliable, compassionate, informative, and passionate about what I do. The things that separates me from others is I’m constantly striving to improve my trade and helping to lift those around me because other who came before me did the same, another thing that separates me from others is that I’m always willing to learn from others and love to always do what’s best for my clients I am most proud of the name of our company because it brings so much to the table with it. I want the readers to know that we offer farrier services in the mid Michigan area, the greater Lansing area, and surrounding towns and counties
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
I see the industry going in great directions if more farriers get better educated and doing more things that serve our clients better. I hope to see more people join our career so that we can serve more, I am hoping that the equine doesn’t get any smaller with the present economic things we are going through.
