Exploring Life & Business with Marcin Suchowiecki of Moda Construction

Today we’d like to introduce you to Marcin Suchowiecki. 

Hi Marcin, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I immigrated from Poland in 2012 to take a shot at the American dream. Before my construction days began, I put all my efforts into studying and perfecting my construction background in the U.S. which included a degree in construction management, getting licensed and certified, and ultimately getting a plethora of experience working in the field of construction. I did have a lot of experience in the field of construction from my homeland in Poland so getting acclimated in the U.S. wasn’t terribly difficult as it related to construction. After getting my education and experience I pursued opening my own business Moda Construction in the years to follow. With the help of my wife and her marketing background I was able to quickly establish a presence in the Metro Detroit area and start to roll up my sleeves and get to work. It’s been an honor to make customers’ dreams a reality and master the art of construction. 

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
One of my struggles was English as my second language using the wrong tenses was my most difficult challenge every now and then I still mix it up. 🙂 Whereas in the construction world there is never much consistency the environment changes often, materials, price points, supply chain issues fluctuate, and as a business owner you need to constantly adjust and change with the times. 

We’ve been impressed with Moda Construction, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
