Today we’d like to introduce you to Lynn Eads
Lynn, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’m a former buisness professional and professional Nanny of 10+ years, mom of two, and a grandma to three. I’m dedicated to empowering women, mentoring new moms and supporting families through the transformative journey of motherhood.
I began my Learn With Lynne business in 2016 to impart my knowledge and experience to future generations. I’m a member of the Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association (CAPPA) and a member at my local Chamber of Commerce. I have really enjoyed over the years volunteering and have volunteered within my community and beyond what seems to be over thousands of hours.
When I’m not helping new parents navigate the ups and downs of the early parenting days as a Certified Postpartum Doula and Certified Pediatric Sleep Consultant, you’ll also find me helping and volunteering with Glamorous Moms TM Foundation as a Lead Volunteer specializing in Doula Services & Postpartum Care.
Other fun facts about me are: I’m an author and a speaker! I love to travel and last year I took many summer trips. For the first time I visited Mackinac Island, drove across the Mighty Mac Bridge, visited many places in the UP such as Grand Marais, Munising, and Marquette (twice) and took up the hobby of SUP Paddleboarding! I also made a trip for the first time to the Pacific Northwest to the Seattle Washington area. I also love music, theatre and dining out.
Whats upcoming?!: Its been a dream of mine to host my own monthly networking group for women exclusively. That will launch in April, the Lemon Tree Community. We will empower, support and encourage moms in business, caregivers, women business professionals, expectant and new moms and women in general. There will also be a networking component for sharing whats going on in your life, business or personal and opportunity to create relationships.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I knew when I was setting up my website domain and social media accounts over 8 years ago, I knew I would love to be teaching/supporting in some way, but it took me a while to figure out who my niche client was. After becoming burned out as a professional nanny, my career nanny friend meet me for coffee declared “You definitely need to look at getting a certification as a postpartum doula, it’s a great fit for you”. At the time, I had no idea what that entailed and after looking into it, I did feel it would be a good path to take. I learned that I was already supporting my nanny moms in a “postpartum doula” sort of way.
Also, after being married for over 34.5 years, I was faced with a divorce and realization that we needed to sell our home of the same of years. This was very emotional due to the longevity of the marriage, and the emotional trauma of having to deconstruct a home back in to a “house” to sell.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I offer services as a certified postpartum doula, as a pediatric sleep consultant and soon as a mind & body coach. I am most proud of being able to support new moms in their postpartum journey, it fills my cup! What sets me apart from others in my industry is that I’m kind, flexible, have a positive mindset (I even wrote a course about it!), and I have so.many years of experience in helping new families. I also have a niche of helping families with the transition of welcoming an additional new baby in the family with other children.
I also am in the process of a second book collaborative that will publish in the spring called Portraits Anthology Volume I with Starfish Stories Publishing LLC.
I’m big on goal setting and have been living the Oola Life for about 8 years now. The mission is to free people from mental, physical and financial stress so they can create a life of balance, growth and purpose that they love. I am currently working towards my certification as an Oola certified life coach.
What does success mean to you?
As a Postpartum Doula, Pediatric Sleep Consultant, and Mind & Body Coach, I define success by the confidence and peace my clients gain as they navigate early parenthood. Success is when a new mom feels nurtured, a tired parent finds restful sleep, and a family feels supported in creating a rhythm that fosters well-being for both baby and themselves. It’s about empowering parents with knowledge, guiding them with compassion, and witnessing their transformation into confident caregivers who trust their instincts and embrace the journey with more ease.
