Exploring Life & Business with LaTasha Henry of Empowering YOU

Today we’d like to introduce you to LaTasha Henry

Hi LaTasha, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
The Empowering YOU podcast started from a place of vulnerability and courage. I battle with PTSD and TBI, I recognized that there was a need for a safe haven where people could openly share their mental health experiences without fear of judgment. Starting with TikTok videos, I shared my own struggles, the response I received from doing this was overwhelming. Realizing the void waiting to be filled, I used my platform and created the Empowering YOU podcast.

As the podcast grew, it expanded beyond solo narratives. Guests—fellow warriors—joined in, weaving stories of resilience, vulnerability, and healing. An unexpected anthology opportunity I had made me an international bestselling author. Then, the Wealthy Women Entrepreneurs Network recognized the podcast’s impact, I was blessed enough to be asked to be a part of this amazing network. Since then, Empowering YOU has propelled to being on multiple platforms including satellite radio waves.

Empowering YOU is now a beacon of hope, lighting the way for others seeking solace and strength. 🎙️✨

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, unfortunately there are a lot of selfish and not so good people in this business. Businesses lie and scam people constantly by promising to help with your business. I also had a network that I reached out to and asked if they wanted to partner up with me and my TIK-TOK show, I explained what my show was and the idea behind it. I never got a response from this network BUT a couple weeks after I approached this company and pitched my idea I came across a post from them, In this post they where talking about their new show on TIK-TOK and how they are helping others by having them come on their show and talk about their struggles and how they made it through. I was completely devastated and ready to throw in the towel. The very next day is when Wealthy Women Entrepreneurs reached and offered me an amazing opportunity. It was that moment that I knew I was doing exactly what god has prepared me for.

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
I believe everyone should have a mentor you need someone to help you navigate and get through things. You need to look outside of your family and friends and make different connections all over. You can’t grow staying in the same area doing the same thing. You need to join different groups get out of your comfort zone. The most supportive and encouraging people are those who are doing the same as you and understand how hard it truly is. I met some amazing supportive people who have turned into being like family to me.
