Exploring Life & Business with Kerry & Jocelyn Clouse of Country Roads Coffee

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kerry & Jocelyn Clouse.

Hi Kerry & Jocelyn, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
The Story Behind COUNTRY ROADS COFFEE…

Never in our wildest dreams did we ever dream up we’d Build our own Coffee Roastery and start serving our community with top of the line, fresh roasted coffee beans. But here we are, after quite a few nudges from friends and family, we gave it a go.

Our story began with the desire
to drink fresh roasted coffee every
day not just on special occasions.
With many nudges from family and
friends…our love for coffee turned
into a much deeper passion.
In the fall of 2018, we took a huge
leap of faith and sold our first ever
bags of Country Roads Coffee and that’s when our
small batch roastery in Albion, IN
came to life.
From roasting 1/4 c at a time on a
popcorn popper to roasting several
thousand pounds a month on
commercial roasters,
Country Roads Coffee loves serving
others 1 sip at a time.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Not even close! And honestly, that’s what makes the journey worth talking about. It’s been anything but a smooth road—there have been plenty of bumps, wrong turns, long days, roaster fires, the NO’s over and over at the beginning and moments of wondering if it was all worth it. But there have also been some amazing highs, loyal customers, great friendships, and the pride that comes from building something from absolutely nothing. The road hasn’t been smooth, but it’s been one heck of a ride. ☕️

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
At Country Roads Coffee, we specialize in fresh-roasted, small-batch coffee made with care. From finding quality green beans to roasting each batch to bring out its best flavor. We take pride in delivering coffee that people genuinely enjoy. But we’re about more than just coffee—we specialize in supporting local businesses, farmers markets, community events, and the people who support us. We believe in buying local, building relationships, and helping other small businesses grow right alongside us.

At Country Roads Coffee we offer light, medium to dark roast, whole bean, ground, single serve pods and we also highlight a Flavor of the month each month.
