Today we’d like to introduce you to Kate Medvedeva.  

Hi Kate, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
My name is Kate Medvedeva; I am a travel advisor from West Bloomfield, MI. My career journey started few years ago when I got a Master Degree in Accounting and passed CPA exams to become ф public accountant. Right at that time, me and my husband had our first child, then another one, and I flourished as a mom and enjoyed my time with kids so much that I gave up my accounting career and only work part-time from consulting to project accountant from time to time. My dream was to experience all stages with my kids from starting to walk to first hockey practice to becoming a full-time hockey mom. All that time that I spent with my kids made me wonder if I can do something exciting, fulfilling, and absolutely necessary as a service to help people carry a purpose. I found that purpose in travel. I travelled with my family, always booked the best trips for friends and family, and when I was pregnant with my 3rd child, finally decided to be a Travel Advisor. Travel Advisor is a person who listens to all your wishes and travel dreams and makes your dream come true. It has become an exciting path for me, where I can help people to take stress and the burden of planning away, only giving them a fun part of travel instead – actually enjoying it! 

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It became a smooth road for me as soon as I found out what I really wanted to do. Everything aligned with that purpose. With my professional background and experience to learn it was easier to accomplish training and complete the learning process to become a Travel Advisor. Although this learning path does not end, I learn something new every day about destinations, islands, cultural events, and resorts. 

We’ve been impressed with Travel with Kate Medvedeva, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My brand name is Travel with Kate Medvedeva, I have a great presence on Instagram and Facebook, and I am still growing. When I post there, I want people to read it and learn something new or get a value from my post, not just a pretty picture. I offer many services, from planning of various destinations around the world to booking complex international routes for clients. My absolute favorites are: weddings, honeymoons, adults-only romantic getaways, Caribbean all-inclusive family vacations, and planning purpose vacations like traveling with autistic kids. When people contact me and tell me about their travel plans, it is always a very personal experience; they trust me with their dream, time, and investment. I am also lucky to have clients who are my friends and friends who are my clients. 

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs, or other resources you think our readers should check out?
That’s a great question. Music has been a big part of my life, and being a piano player myself, I cannot survive without music. It’s always in the background. My friends and family are an integral part of my everyday success; we laugh, cook great food and plan our future travels together. 

I also like to meditate and listen to business and personal growth podcasts. 

Travel Pulse, Traveler magazine, various webinars, and destination learning trips are the must for me.
