Today we’d like to introduce you to Justin Helou.
Hi Justin, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
We started HolStrength out of my moms basement in 2020. With a mission to bring God into every part of our lives. Specifcally within gyms across the country. Creating clothing that spread the Gospel. This stemmed from my own personal faith triumphs and obstacles in making God the center of my life. I had the idea in college, when Jesus became the center and foundation of my life. We are a faith and fitness ministry and clothing brand.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
We grew really fast which was hard. Long hours and stress of running a business. But God gave us strength. I didn’t know how to design clothes so there was a lot of learning in the fitness apparel space that needed to take place. Also finding the right people with good hearts to help us.
As you know, we’re big fans of HolStrength LLC . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Established in 2021 in Grand Rapids, MI. Seeking to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ through clothing and community. Our goal is to make an impact on how we as Christians represent our faith.
Our mission:
Stemming from the words “Holy” and “Strength”, a decisive term for deriving your strength and validation from God. True Strength that cannot be taken away, because it comes directly from the cross.
We uphold a set of core values in life. We stand up for what we believe in. We fight temptation. We are decisive, passionate, and aggressive in our pursuit of faith. We strive to negate the false “ego” and pride that is at best a thinly fake version of strength. We do not seek validation from others, or from the rest of society. Our lives have been validated by God from the day we were born, and that is all of the security we need. We understand our self worth yet are never content with stagnancy. There is a fire that burns within us to strive to become a better version of ourselves each day. To set an example. To break down barriers, overcome obstacles, and be a leader in society. Representing what it means to be a REAL, powerful version of who we are meant to be.
We represent the truth of the cross that Jesus died on for us. And there is nothing stronger than that.

How do you think about luck?
No luck, just God’s divine intervention. He rerouted my life from planning to move to California, then Covid hit and we started the ministry. If covid didn’t hit, we probably wouldn’t have started it since I would have moved
