Hi Josh, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Looper Lids was founded in the summer of 2024 by two former golf caddies looking to stay connected to the game while building something of their own between seasons. What started as a custom headwear and apparel company quickly evolved into something more.
While designing the ideal caddie hat for the 2026 season, we developed TapCap™. A technology that transforms custom headwear from simple brand awareness into real, measurable customer engagement and interaction.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The road has been relatively smooth, with most challenges coming from building our first business from the ground up. Having to rely solely on our own time, money, and energy.
Our model is intentionally lean. We operate with minimal overhead, and each order is structured to fund itself, with profit realized upon delivery.
That said, our advertising budget is currently zero. Growth has come through word of mouth, direct outreach, and social media. Allowing us to build a customer base organically.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
The most important characteristic to our success is a constant focus on the customer experience.
Coming from the caddie industry, we were paid based on how well we took care of the people we worked for. That mindset carries directly into our business and drives every decision we make. Whether it’s product design, pricing, or how we communicate.
It’s easy to focus on selling a product, but we focus on creating an experience that makes customers want to come back and work with us again. That approach has allowed us to grow through word of mouth and build trust without relying on traditional advertising.
We’re confident in our product, but it’s the experience around it that keeps people coming back and turns customers into long-term partners.
