Exploring Life & Business with Jordan Acord and Dani Diehl of The Mini Bar Detroit

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordan Acord and Dani Diehl. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Jordan and Dani met working at the same restaurant in 2019. Having the same sense of humor and bubbly personality, it wasn’t hard for them to fall for one another. Jordan proposed in March of 2021, and they quickly began planning their wedding. Everything came to a screeching halt when Jordan got into a car accident in June of that same year. He was taken to the hospital, where he was given pelvic reconstruction surgery. They were so unsure of what healing and his future mobility would look like. The accident really put everything into perspective: life is too short to not do something you love. Jordan started walking on his own a lot quicker than what the doctors had expected. He was determined to get back up and live life to its fullest. As the healing progressed, so did the planning. They still toured venues for their own wedding, and the whole planning aspect of the wedding was something they both had taken a liking to. Dani was watching a TikTok one night and saw a couple transforming a horse trailer into a mobile bar. 2 days later, they found the perfect horse trailer an hour away, picked her up, and started the renovations. They put the wedding planning back on hold to get The Mini Bar Detroit up and running.

“We wouldn’t change a single thing about our story. By the grace of God, we are where we are today because of it” -Dani

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Their biggest obstacle was the beginning. Understanding the legalities, navigating the entrepreneurial world, designing the logo, coming up with a brand, and learning how to generate the leads they’ve been so blessed to receive.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
The Mini Bar Detroit is a 1977 horse trailer turned upscale mobile bar available for hire at any events/parties!

While all bars are known for serving drinks to their guests, The Mini Bar Detroit offers a bit more than that. They work with their clients closely to curate a bar menu their guests will enjoy. Whether its recommending which beers are in style, which brands of wine are most popular, or coming up with specialty craft cocktails to elevate the experience, the bar is a very important stop at every event, and they love to make it as memorable as possible.

Their customer service is what really sets them apart. Being able to not only serve amazing drinks to your guests but to also create a fun and inviting atmosphere for them to come to throughout the night is something they pride ourselves most on.

“Working with your significant other is always a boost, but when you love what you do, it doesn’t feel like work.” -Jordan

They are most proud of how they have built this entire company from the ground up all on their own. They taught themselves everything there is to know about owning a successful company. They came up with their own name, logo, and brand. They knew they wanted to bring a modern vibe to a rustic trailer, and boy did they deliver.

The Mini Bar Detroit offers whatever the clients like best. Whether they’re just pouring beer and wine or they’re operating a full-service bar with Signature Craft Cocktails, they can do it all!

They also have a bunch of different add-on services to offer as well:

-Yard games (Giant Jenga, Giant Connect4, and Cornhole)

-Coffee Service (regular and decaf, cream, sugar, cups, etc)

-Soda Service (5 options of unlimited soda for your guests to choose from)

-Customizable bar menus (they incorporate your brand/colors)

-Cocktail lounge (coming soon but think: VELVET)

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Dani had the vision, and Jordan brought everything to life all on his own. He restored and transformed the trailer to make it what you see today.
