Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Powers
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I was raised in Real Estate. My mother has been an agent for most of my life. My brother, aunt, cousin are all agents as well. However, I didn’t think I would find myself in real estate as I ventured in to a medical career. In 2019 I was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma and wasn’t able to work as a Paramedic. Despite the aforementioned, I have always been drawn to homes and used this time to follow my calling.
However, “regular Real Estate” doesn’t satiate my natural desire to care for others. Because of this, Nurturing Homes was born. It is a the luxury of a concierge service in that we handle anything possible for our clients during the entire process.
I personally give as much of myself to each client as I can. Including making homemade closing gifts, hand written thank you gifts, self made folders, stamps, etc. I have even helped clean homes and refurbished vanities.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Finding contractors that are dependent, honest, and have premium quality.
Not being under a “big name” like Keller Williams or ReMax. However, this means that all of our clients are organically obtained.
Letting go and saying “see ya nextime” after closing. I may have a habit of befriending clients and keeping them around. 😂
Balancing building a company, working myself, educating myself and others, and being a mom, athlete and animal mom.

We succeed in this by interacting with possible contractors, arranging moving services, providing cleaning services, transitioning utilities, providing all marketing via magazines, social media, etc. Our attention to detail, empathy and dedication are unparalleled. The dedication to education put us above others in community knowledge and accurately pricing and marketing homes.
