Today we’d like to introduce you to Isabella Babbish.
Hi Isabella, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I attended Irene’s Myomassology institute in 2021, from there I worked at a spa, chiropractor’s office, a wellness center , and even did mobile massage . All this bodywork led me to meet my now friend and co-worker who encouraged me to start my own business , and from there Massage by Isabella was created !
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I started massage therapy school during covid so learning hands on massage in a time where we weren’t really supposed to be super close to one another was challenging ! Imposter syndrome is real and getting your feet on the ground is hard at first when starting your own business, but I leaned on other massage therapists and business owners for tips and tricks and continue to do so.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a licensed massage therapist who practices therapeutic massage located in downtown Berkley ! My business is located within The Zen Den Collective, where four other small businesses reside. We provide wellness services including massage, holistic skin care, psychotherapy and occasionally energy work and yoga.
I offer a variety services like Swedish, deep tissue , prenatal massage and multiple add-ons, every massage is tailored to my clients’ needs and met with intention.
What really sets my business apart is the level of care and intention I bring to every session. I take the time to understand each client’s unique needs, whether it’s recovering from an injury, managing stress, or just needing a moment of peace in a hectic life. My space is welcoming, calming, and focused entirely on their well-being.
How do you define success?
To me, success is about feeling aligned with what I do and knowing I’m making a real difference in people’s lives. It’s those moments after a session when a client says, “I really needed that,” or when someone starts to feel more at home in their body because of the work we’ve done together.
Success is also about balance—being able to do work I love, having the freedom to show up fully, to grow at my own pace, and to stay connected to why I started this path in the first place. That sense of purpose, peace, and presence.
