Exploring Life & Business with Freddy Reynolds of Excel Credit Solutions

Today we’d like to introduce you to Freddy Reynolds

Hi freddy, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
In 2020, I graduated from college with big dreams and an opportunity to move to Los Angeles. It was a chance to chase my goals and build a new life, but I almost couldn’t go. My credit was so poor that I couldn’t secure an apartment or a car in my name. It felt like my financial mistakes were about to hold me back from everything I had worked so hard for. That’s when I discovered credit repair. I found someone in my hometown who helped fix my credit just in time for me to make the move to California.

Living in Los Angeles was everything I hoped it would be, but it also came with challenges. After two years, I found myself in the same position—my credit was damaged again, and I had to pay the same person to fix it. I hadn’t realized that repairing credit wasn’t enough; I needed to learn how to manage and maintain it. The third time my credit fell apart, it led to one of the hardest moments of my life. I went through a personal hardship, was evicted from my apartment, and ended up sleeping in my car. That experience was humbling, but it also became a turning point.

While sleeping in my car, I made a decision. I was tired of relying on others to fix my credit and repeating the same mistakes. I took matters into my own hands and began educating myself. I turned to platforms like YouTube and TikTok and invested in a mentor to learn everything I could about credit repair. Slowly but surely, I started to rebuild my credit. The process was challenging, but it was also empowering. For the first time, I felt in control of my financial future.

Once I fixed my own credit, I moved back home to Detroit for two months to reset and refocus. During that time, I applied what I had learned to help my family. I repaired my mom’s credit, my sister’s, my uncle’s, and my aunt’s. Seeing the impact this had on their lives was incredible. They were able to secure mortgages, auto loans, and credit cards—opportunities that had previously seemed out of reach. That’s when it hit me: this is what I’m meant to do. My hardship, my eviction, and my nights spent in a car all happened for a reason. They led me to this purpose.

Starting my own credit repair business isn’t just about fixing credit scores. It’s about giving people hope, freedom, and the tools to create a better future. I want to help others avoid the pain and struggles I went through. I want to be a resource for people who feel stuck, who feel like they have no options, and who need someone to believe in them when they can’t yet believe in themselves.

My journey has taught me that our greatest challenges can become our greatest opportunities. My story began with bad credit and hardship, but it’s led me to a mission of empowerment and change. I am proud to take this step, and I am committed to helping as many people as possible achieve financial freedom and stability.

To anyone reading this who might be facing their own struggles: know that your current situation does not define your future. With the right mindset, determination, and resources, you can overcome anything.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The road to starting my credit repair business hasn’t been easy. One of the hardest things I’ve faced is realizing that I can’t help everyone the way I want to. Everyone’s credit situation is different, and while I always do my best, some things are just out of my control. It’s tough because I really care about helping people, and it hurts when I can’t get them the results they hoped for.

Another struggle I’ve had is being a people pleaser. Growing up, I always wanted to make everyone happy, and I carried that into my business. But I’ve learned that no matter how hard I try, I can’t satisfy everyone. That’s been hard to accept, but it’s also taught me to focus on doing my best and not to be too hard on myself.

Even with these struggles, I’ve grown a lot. I’ve learned to set boundaries, manage expectations, and focus on the positive changes I’m making in people’s lives. At the end of the day, I’m proud of the work I’ve done and the people I’ve been able to help.

We’ve been impressed with Excel Credit Solutions, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Excel Credit Solutions is all about helping people fix their credit and change their lives. Our motto, “Measure your success by how many people you bless,” shows what we’re all about. We want to make a difference for our clients and their families.

We focus on credit repair and education, but what makes us stand out is how personal we make it. Everyone’s credit situation is different, so we come up with plans that fit each person’s needs. That’s why our clients trust us and keep coming back.

The best part of this work is seeing the results. Helping someone get approved for their first home, car, or loan is an amazing feeling. It’s not just about fixing a credit score—it’s about opening doors to new opportunities.

I want people to know that Excel Credit Solutions isn’t just here to fix credit. We’re here to teach you how to manage it and keep it strong. We offer services like credit analysis, dispute help, and financial coaching to set you up for success.

No matter where you’re starting from, we’re here to help. At Excel Credit Solutions, it’s not just about credit—it’s about changing lives and helping you reach your goals.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
For me, it’s persistence. Like Nipsey Hussle said, “I went through every emotion tryna pursue what I was doing.” That’s something I can relate to because success doesn’t come easy. There were times I felt like giving up because I wasn’t seeing the results I wanted, but I’ve learned that staying consistent and pushing through tough times is what makes all the difference. Not quitting, even when things get hard, has been the key to my growth and success. It’s taught me to trust the process and believe in the work I’m doing, knowing that the results will come with time and effort.
