Today we’d like to introduce you to Fervy Jimenez.
Hi Fervy, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
In July 2017, I had my first son. Like so many new moms, I pictured myself surrounded by a village with family and friends stepping in to help, offering meals, advice, or even just a break so I could breathe. But when the time came, that wasn’t the case. We didn’t have family nearby, and as newcomers to Michigan, we didn’t have friends we could lean on either. It was just me, my husband, and this tiny new baby who had completely changed our world.
You’d think that after more than a decade as a Registered Nurse, I would have felt prepared for motherhood. Spoiler alert: I wasn’t. Nothing in my medical training could have prepared me for the sleepless nights, the endless feeding sessions, or the emotional rollercoaster of being responsible for this brand-new life.
What saved me in those early months was a parenting group at the hospital where I delivered. Every week, parents gathered with a facilitator who guided us through the ups and downs of this new chapter — adjusting to parenthood, feeding and sleep struggles, introducing solids, even CPR and choking. For the first time, I felt truly seen. Those meetings gave me confidence and a sense of community that carried me through the challenges of new motherhood. That group became my village.
Fast forward to 2021, when my second son was born at the peak of COVID, and things felt completely different. This time, there were no groups, no village, no weekly check-ins. It was just me at home, navigating diapers, dishes, sleepless nights, and the never-ending cycle of laundry. Even though I had “done this before,” I found myself feeling isolated and, at times, like I had lost my identity outside of motherhood.
But in that difficult season, something shifted. I realized I couldn’t be the only mom feeling this way. I knew there had to be a way to help parents feel less alone and more supported to give them the same sense of community and confidence I had once been given.
That’s when I discovered The Mama Coach. The timing couldn’t have been more perfect. It felt like everything — my nursing background, my personal experiences as a mom, and my deep desire to support families had led me here. Becoming a Mama Coach has allowed me to combine evidence-based solutions with empathy and compassion, and to show parents that they are capable, resilient, and never alone.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
“As James Clear says in Atomic Habits, if you get 1% better every day, the improvements compound. That’s exactly how I’ve approached both motherhood and building a business — small steps, done consistently, matter more than perfection.”
One of the biggest challenges for me has been balancing motherhood while building a business. It’s so easy as moms to put ourselves last, but I’ve had to learn that my goals outside of motherhood matter too. I remind myself often that I am worthy, that pursuing my passions doesn’t make me less of a mom in fact, it shows my kids what it looks like to follow your dreams.
When I officially launched Mama Coach, my youngest son was just nine months old. I could have made a million excuses — too busy, too tired, too scared. But I reminded myself of this quote: “If it doesn’t challenge you, it doesn’t change you.” Saying yes to my passion, even when it felt uncomfortable, shifted everything. I gave myself permission to pursue my dream while still being a mom, knowing that I was capable of both.
For a long time, I thought I had to show up polished and perfect to be “professional” or credible. But parents don’t need perfection — they need realness. Showing up authentically, messy moments and all, allows me to connect deeply with the families I serve. They see that struggles, overwhelm, and imperfection are part of parenthood, and that it’s okay to lean on support when you need it.
As you know, we’re big fans of The Mama Coach – Fervy Jimenez . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I am proud to be a part of The Mama Coach. We are a global team of Registered Nurses and Nurse Practitioners. Our mission is to support women and families through every stage of their journey with evidence-informed care rooted in empathy, compassion, and the power of nursing.
I support parents from pregnancy through early childhood, helping them feel confident, educated, and empowered. During pregnancy, I provide evidence-based childbirth education and prenatal feeding classes — whether parents are nursing, bottle feeding, or pumping and newborn care workshops.
I specialize in supporting parents through sleep challenges. From short naps and early wake-ups to bedtime struggles, I help families develop realistic, sustainable sleep strategies while addressing the emotional and mental toll that sleep deprivation can take on new parents.
I also guide families through introducing solids and teach CPR and choking relief, giving parents the confidence to handle emergencies.
As children grow, I help parents navigate the potty training journey with practical, tailored strategies. My goal is to equip families with the knowledge, support, and reassurance they need to thrive at every stage of parenthood.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
Personally, I don’t believe in good luck or bad luck. I believe that if you put in the work, you can make things happen. The journey won’t be linear — there will be ups and downs but showing up for yourself consistently is what matters most.
I also believe in asking for what you want. If you don’t ask, the answer is always no. And if the answer is no, I like to think of it as no for now — a chance to regroup, learn, and try again later. For me, success has never been about luck; it’s about persistence, preparation, and the courage to keep showing up, even when the path feels uncertain.
