Exploring Life & Business with Dan Klark of Team Klark Realtors

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dan Klark. 

Hi Dan, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I became licensed and started working in real estate about 10 years ago, and I knew immediately that it was a great fit for me – I love working with people and helping them through one of the biggest transitions in their lives! As my business continued to grow over the years, I began to feel the need to bring someone in to assist with communication and marketing, in order to provide me with more time to spend with clients and focus on relationships. 

At the same time, my wife Annie was looking for a new adventure during the early days of Covid. Annie is a professional musician/music director and was finding her work slowing down, as live performances were impossible during the quarantine. We had always playfully discussed her joining my business, but at this time, we started talking about it more seriously. Annie decided to take the leap and get her real estate license, and she officially joined the business in early 2021. 

And that’s how Team Klark Realtors was born! 

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
As soon as we started working together, we knew we were going to be an amazing team. Our strengths complement each other perfectly – Dan has extensive experience in the business and is great at cultivating relationships and making people feel comfortable, while Annie loves synthesizing information, organizing data, and creating detailed communications. Because of this, Annie does more of the admin, paperwork, and marketing side of things, while Dan will typically take clients on showings, work with them on listing appointments, negotiate offers, etc. We found that we each slid into our roles in the partnership very naturally, and it works really well! 

Because we are used to connecting with each other as married partners and parents, we had already established a communication style that works great for us, and those skills transitioned naturally into our business as well. Throughout each transaction we talk with each other about literally EVERYTHING. This creates an optimal situation for our clients, as they have not one, but two people making sure that everything is running smoothly and that they are as informed and supported as possible. 

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about Team Klark Realtors?
At Team Klark Realtors we specialize in outstanding communication, quick response time, up-to-date market knowledge, and an in-depth understanding of market dynamics. But the biggest thing that we pride ourselves on is being able to help people in our community – in 2022, we had the opportunity to work with 26 families through the process of buying or selling a home! We work a lot with people from our own neighborhood, which we especially love. We live in a tight-knit community, and it’s an honor to get to help people close to home meet and exceed their home ownership goals. 

Our primary focus is on providing an experience that feels warm and helpful, and we always make sure to conduct ourselves with honesty and integrity. We would never try to push anyone into making a decision that they are not ready for – instead, we provide people with as much information and background knowledge as possible, and we strive to make recommendations that are truly in their best interests – even if that sometimes means waiting to buy or sell a home. Our open and honest communication style helps to assure people that we will always be ready to help, whenever they decide the time is right! 

Our mission is making sure that our clients feel supported, informed, and confident throughout the process from the very first time they reach out to us. A home sale is one of the biggest transitions that most people will ever go through in their lives, and we want to make it an amazing experience for them! 

Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
Working in the real estate industry has provided us with a wonderful way to support our family while doing something that we both love. We have two daughters (Charlotte, 9, and Betsy, 3) and a sweet bloodhound named Penny. They are the reason for everything we do, and we are so grateful to be able to provide for them while helping members of our community at the same time! 

We are also very grateful to be a part of an outstanding brokerage, Clients First Realtors in Canton. Our broker, Chantell Monette, provides incredible support when we need it, and the brokerage truly feels like a family!
