Today we’d like to introduce you to Anita Stefanovic.
Hi Anita, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My story begins long before I became a practitioner—it begins as a little girl carrying emotional pain far too heavy for her small shoulders, and always being told I was too much. Too sensitive, too emotional, too loud, too intense. Those early words shaped how I moved through life: guarded, determined, and constantly trying to shrink myself just enough to be accepted. For years, I wore strength like armor, believing survival was the same as healing. But eventually, the cracks spread too wide to ignore.
When everything fell apart, it didn’t just crumble—it shattered. I was in pieces, thousands of them. In so many areas of my life, I had lost. Yet, even in that darkness, one truth rang clear: I would not let myself stay broken. If I remained in that place, then they—the ones who hurt me, doubted me, dismissed me—would win. My greatest revenge, my greatest redemption, would be in proving that they couldn’t.
From that rock-bottom moment, I began the slow, messy work of putting myself back together. Healing wasn’t linear—sometimes it was two steps forward and ten steps back. There were times I’d rebuild part of myself, only to realize it didn’t quite fit, and I’d have to break it again to make it right. It was painful, at times aweful, humbling, and holy work.
That relentless search for truth led me to realize that there is profound wisdom within our pain. Every ache, every symptom, every wave of discomfort was trying to speak to me—not to break me, but to guide me. My exploration through holistic healing eventually led me to the Spinal Flow Technique and to my teacher, Dr. Carli Axford, who helped me see that pain is never punishment—it’s communication. I came to understand that the body remembers everything: every unspoken word, every repressed emotion, every story we’ve buried to survive. And when we finally listen, the body doesn’t just heal—it releases, realigns, and gently brings us back to who we were always meant to be.
Today, with a blend of intuition and Spinal Flow, I help others do the same—release what no longer serves them, reconnect to the intelligence of their bodies, and find their own flow. My work is about turning pain into power, trauma into transformation, and self-protection into self-love.
I’ve learned that healing isn’t about becoming someone new—it’s about coming home to the parts of yourself you had to abandon to survive. For so long, I believed I was too much, until I realized I was never too much—they just weren’t enough to hold me. My path has been anything but easy, but it’s been sacred. Every wound, every heartbreak, every “why me?” moment was preparing me to do this work. And now, with deep gratitude and certainty, I know that healing is not only possible—it’s our birthright. And my purpose is to help others remember that they, too, were always enough.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road has been anything but smooth. Healing rarely is. It’s raw, uncomfortable, and asks you to face the parts of yourself you’ve spent a lifetime avoiding. My journey was filled with detours through pain, loss, and uncertainty. There were seasons when I questioned everything—my worth, my purpose, even whether I was strong enough to continue.
There were also practical challenges. Building a business rooted in vulnerability and truth isn’t easy in a world that often values quick fixes over deep transformation. There were moments of self-doubt, financial strain, and the fear that maybe my story wasn’t one people wanted to hear. But each challenge became part of my training ground—teaching me resilience, humility, and trust in something greater than myself.
The hardest part, though, was learning to keep my heart open while doing this work. To witness the pain of others without closing off, to hold space without carrying it. I had to learn boundaries that honored both my clients and myself, and to recognize that healing isn’t about saving anyone—it’s about guiding them back to their own light.
Every stumble, every tear, every setback taught me something invaluable. I’ve come to understand that the road doesn’t need to be smooth to be meaningful. The cracks, the breaks, the rough terrain—they’re where the light gets in.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Spinal Flow with Anita?
My business was born from my own transformation and my desire to help others find theirs. I work with individuals who are ready to heal—not just physically, but emotionally and energetically. Many of my clients come to me after years of searching for relief, feeling disconnected from their bodies and exhausted by pain that no one seems to understand. What they find here is not another treatment—it’s a homecoming.
The Spinal Flow Technique, developed by Dr. Carli Axford, is a gentle yet powerful healing modality that works with the nervous system through access points along the spine and body. By releasing stored stress and blockages, the body begins to reawaken its natural healing intelligence. It’s not chiropractic, or craniosacral therapy, though people often describe it as having elements of all three. What sets it apart is its ability to create profound shifts in the body without force—allowing healing to unfold naturally from within.
What sets my mission apart is the depth of presence I bring to each session. My finely tuned intuition allows me to see beyond symptoms and into the emotional and energetic roots of pain. I create a safe, compassionate space where clients can unravel, release, and rebuild. I’m known for helping people who feel “stuck”—those who have tried everything else and are finally ready to surrender to something deeper.
Beyond one-on-one sessions, I also offer healing plans, emotional release experiences, and heart-opening events for those ready to connect more deeply to themselves and others.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud that everything I share—from the tone of my website to the energy in my space—reflects truth and authenticity. My mission isn’t about fixing people; it’s about reminding them that they were never broken. It is to help others feel seen, heard, and empowered to take ownership of their healing journey.
If there’s one thing I want readers to know, it’s this: healing is possible. No matter how long you’ve been in pain or how disconnected you feel, your body knows the way home. I’m simply here to help you listen.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson I’ve learned is that healing is not about perfection, control, or becoming someone new—it’s about returning to yourself. True transformation comes when you stop resisting your story, your body, and your emotions, and instead learn to listen deeply.
I’ve learned that pain, heartbreak, and struggle are not punishments; they are guides. They carry wisdom if we are willing to hear it. Every setback, every “why me?” moment, every time I felt shattered in pieces was preparing me to reclaim my power and to help others do the same.
I’ve also learned that being “too much” isn’t a flaw—it’s a signal that the world around you might not be enough to hold your light and fullness. When I embraced this truth, I found freedom, confidence, and the ability to guide others without fear or apology.
Ultimately, the greatest lesson is that we are all enough, exactly as we are, and that healing is our birthright. The path isn’t linear, it isn’t easy, and it isn’t always graceful—but it is always possible. And when we embrace it, we discover not only strength and resilience, but a deep, radiant sense of self that no challenge can take away.
