Today we’d like to introduce you to Stacey Williams.
Hi Stacey, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hello, My name is Stacey Williams, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and the owner of The Restoration Village: Therapeutic and Holistic Services (TRV). My journey to building TRV started in 2013 with a first thought and idea. TRV was officially established in 2016 and it has been a “birth” and “rebirth” process as the vision and mission was established, modified, and redefined. TRV has experienced many areas of growth, empowerment, setbacks, and accomplishments to get where we are today.
The Restoration Village: Therapeutic and Holistic Services (TRV), provides specialized mental health services for individuals impacted by traumatic life events. Services are provided to youth and adults and include mental health assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, Trauma-focused therapy, psycho-education, therapy and support groups, family therapy, seminars, and training.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
The journey and evolving process for TRV has been long and has required perseverance and fortitude. My Master’s program and education process did not prepare me to be an entrepreneur, write a business plan, network, market or build a clientele. So, I had to learn all this from scratch, by investing in myself and the vision for the business. When TRV started in 2016 it started with an EIN and a name, I had no clue how I would grow the business. So I read and developed a road map to follow. So to get started, I walked into a local school district superintendent’s office and I pitched my business idea to him. I wanted to provide trauma training to his staff, teachers, and principals. He listened, welcomed my offer, and provided me with an opportunity to provide multiple trauma training to his principals and school staff- that was easy. I thought that was it, that I had built a viable business. I was also able to obtain contracts training foster parents and foster care workers. However, in 2017 the contracts subsided and I was left to figure out what next to do to grow the business. I was gripped with fear and uncertainty about the next steps for TRV, but at least I had built my confidence in training and articulating what the company could offer.
I began thinking of how to build my private practice and that became challenging. I became frustrated, overwhelmed, and felt defeated by the process. So, between 2018 and 2020, there were a lot of ebbs and flow with the business growth. Enter the pandemic – and with the impact being so detrimental to everyone’s mental state, I began investing wholeheartedly in rebuilding the vision and mission of TRV.
I focused and invested in trainings and learning how to grow a business, I joined various groups and asked questions, listened, learned, and repeated the process , over and over for the last two years.
Now I am here, with my practice in full operation and focusing on continual growth, excellence and sustainability.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?

What do you like and dislike about the city?
I love the homes, parks, safety, and lakes that surround our city. I love having access to my cultural flavor, the diversity, and acceptance within our communities.
Our road conditions are not desirable, but there is not much that I am aware of to not desire.
