Today we’d like to introduce you to Patrick Manuel.
Hi Patrick , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
In 2022, I started a position as a youth pastor/leader at a church called Pentecostal Praise Place. The youth department was looking for fundraisers for the kids to do and they were selling shirts at the time but they were looking for new slogans. So I prayed and asked God, looking for direction. He spoke to me “Read Fast Pray” “Tapped In With God”. So I was already on a daily routine of praying and reading my Bible. I also fasted once a week. So that was already apart of my lifestyle. So we put the slogan on a shirt. The people in our church supported as always but then the public started to notice them and show interest. I eventually had so much interest that I started a brand out of it & the rest was history.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The rode was far from smooth. There were a lot of obstacles along the way. One main one was finding a reliable manufacturer for my products. I eventually found someone local and we worked really well together and then they ended up going awol on me as well after some months. So eventually I started making my own products. Which was a journey in itself but was very beneficial.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I own a Christian clothing brand called Tapped In With God. We believe in tapping others in to our Lord Jesus Christ through clothing & real life experiences. Giving believers a way to express themselves through clothing and to give them a chance to interact with others. We get lots of testimonials of how wearing the clothing sparks conversations from believers and non believers. What sets us apart is first of all are authenticity, in what we “preach”. Not just a brand but its foundation is birthed out of a real daily lifestyle & relationship. We also create 1 of 1 custom hoodies unique and specific for our customers. Along with streetwear. Most importantly we believe in showing the love of Christ to those around us, growing the kingdom & making it known. I believe that clothing is just a vehicle to a much bigger vision. Stay tuned!
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important thing I’ve learned is to keep going no matter the obstacles. Continue to push when things get rough. It’s so easy to give up when hard times come but we have to stay the course & Trust God.
