Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicole Conyers.
Hi Nicole, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My story started 3 and a half years ago when I shifted to being a content creator. My love for style, fashion, creating is what drives me.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It was definitely not a smooth ride. I still feel like I am learning and growing everyday. If I could start over right now, I would’ve build my community a long time ago. I didnt know what worked and what didnt. I’m realizing that building my own little small community is what’s important
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I started out making content in my living room. Showing off my daily outfits and taking pictures. It then turned into making content for brands and organizations. I am most proud of being a Brand Ambassador for The Revamp Detroit Clothing Swap Festival. Its happens every 3 months where locals all come together, swap clothes, create sustainability all while saving the earth.
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
I would say, find what you are passionate about. Be open to meeting new people. Always stay ready to learn. I try to make people smile and be welcoming. It always breaks the ice.
