Today we’d like to introduce you to Laura Bonnell
Laura, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I was always looking for my path. When I became a news reporter in Detroit in both radio and television, I thought, “this is great, but is this it?” I excelled in news reporting. Then our daughters were born and diagnosed with CF and I know my purpose. My passion, radio, was to give me a voice to raise awareness about cystic fibrosis. I left broadcasting in 2019 and started working full time on The Bonnell Foundation: Living with cystic fibrosis.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The ride to where I am has had ups and down, along with many challenges, including the pandemic, but we made it. We have grown from every challenge.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
My love has always been as a story teller, a news reporter. When I switched from radio to my Foundation I did not lose myself. I embraced what I already knew. I started a successful podcast, the CF Master Class and CF Global Master class, blog and other stories.
Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
It’s simple, just get in contact with me. I am always open to collaboration and discussion. This is how we grow.
