Daily Inspiration: Meet Kimberly Marcilene

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kimberly Marcilene.

Hi Kimberly, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Well, I am a Certified Motivational Coach. My company Beautiful Bold Empowering Women, empowers women from the side out. We also celebrate women from various communities whom are never acknowledged and bring them to light on our platform. We have offered many free classes to underprivileged women to better themselves in the area of mental, physical, and emotional health along with free therapy by a licensed psychologist. I provide motivational coaching sessions to women who are ready to step out of the shadows and create their own identities while taking back the voice they once had or in the transition of gaining. We are in our 7th year and many community leaders have donated their time to benefit the advancement of women within their very own communities.

I released a song in 2020 called “Here I Am” to let women know you are not the only one who battles, so here I am giving you all of me. I have done two short films and executive produced a film that won many awards in the film festivals. I have a podcast called “Doing the Most” where we discuss everything that is doing the most in today’s culture and society. I also have a clothing line that is available on my website and an Icebreaker game for women coming soon.

I am the Vice President of Westwood NewsTalk, which is an organization that re-acclimates previously convicted felons back into society by either offering them a job or partnering with them in business.

My biggest joy was planning an event to pamper the mothers of children with cancer for Children’s Hospital of Michigan. It was called “We Came We Conquered, I’m A Mother.” I use to work for Children’s Hospital and for many years I sat and watched moms suffer as their child endured so much pain. I couldn’t sit by and do nothing; I wanted to take some of the stress away if only for a moment. I asked for help and lots of Metro Detroit businesses donated great gifts along with Children’s Hospital of Michigan Hematology/Oncology clinic whom donated generously. That day we made over 100 women lives a little more joyful and peaceful. It was very successful and we look forward to planning the next one in the near future.

I have two children whom I adore. I could speak on the many things I have done in my community to give back, but more importantly I am just a super authentic woman whose trials created me into this Beautiful Bold Empowered Woman today.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Omg No, lol trials. I had 2 teenage pregnancies before graduating H.S. It took 10 years to get my Associates Degree, but I did it while working massive hours at the hospital during the pandemic, taking 3 classes to graduate from Macomb Community College, and releasing a song that hit all platforms all while in the transitioning phase of breaking into another state; Texas. I have had a gun pointed in my face, molested as a young girl, which I finally spoke of in my song. Abuse, A divorcée, and Lord knows that was hell on earth but after counseling and Doing the Work for 3 years, I Am happy, healthy, wealthy, and in love.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I left the medical field after 20 years because working behind the scenes I saw how patients were paying astronomical prices for services. The medical field became the revenue field. I saw my coworkers become ill from stress and even I began to fall ill and slip into a depression. I walked away but I wanted to still feel like I was giving back so I took on the Case Management arena in the field of Disaster Relief.

What sets me apart is that I step up when others hesitate. We as a community have stopped lending a hand out of fear and judgment. We were created help! People are shocked when they ask how am I doing and I say “I am expecting Great News,” they say “repeat that” or come back to me after it clicks, like what she said was not normal. I refuse to be regular and I refuse to be a statistic based on my past!

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
My website is bbewomen.com I put on my shoes like everyone else, so if they are ready to take off the masks and work hey, I make myself available.
