Today we’d like to introduce you to Kate Vernier

Hi Kate, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started Explore With Kate in May of 2024 as an outlet for my passions of traveling, photography, and writing. Before I knew it, my fun hobby became a successful business. I’ve shared over 100 posts, articles, and videos about my travels and partnered with numerous brands and businesses to showcase their products and services to my followers. My posts have over 100,000 likes, shares, and views from other travelers worldwide. I’m just getting started, and I can’t wait to see where this journey takes me!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I never expected content creation to be so time-consuming. There’s so much work involved — shooting content, editing, writing posts (and full-length articles if you’re a blogger), managing social media accounts, engaging with other creators, and much more. It can be exhausting, and I only do this part-time! I’ve had to learn how to manage my time to avoid burnout and, most importantly, to make sure I’m still having fun and enjoying the process. That’s the reason I started Explore With Kate in the first place.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
As a travel content creator, I post travel tips, guides, photos, and videos on my blog and social media accounts. I write about all of my adventures, big and small, from the US to Europe, to Central America, and back. Whether you’re a budget backpacker or a luxury jet-setter, I love sharing itineraries, restaurants, and places to stay to inspire you to get out and see the world.

I’m most proud of how authentic my work is and how I let my personality shine in every post and article I write. By being as genuine as possible, I’ve connected deeply with my followers and made some amazing friends online. I hope I never lose sight of this aspect of my work.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I’ve worked hard to be where I am in my personal life and with Explore With Kate, but I also consider myself incredibly lucky. I think I’ve been at the right place at the right time with many opportunities.

I also love the idea of “making your own luck” by putting yourself in the right rooms, educating yourself as much as possible, and connecting with the right people. These things have contributed to my success in all areas of my life.

If I had started Explore With Kate at any other time, I’m not sure it would have been as successful as it is now. I was so passionate about the idea that I worked hours on end creating my website, drafting social media posts, and engaging with other creators to build a solid foundation for what it is today (all while still working 9-5). My hard work, good timing, and good luck helped Explore With Kate take off.
