Hi Jenna, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Blissful Bernedoodles started from a lifelong love of dogs and a belief that they should be raised as part of the family, not just bred and sold. What began as a small passion project grew as more families began looking for well raised Bernedoodles with great temperaments and strong early socialization.
Over time I built a program focused on responsible breeding, health, and giving each puppy the best possible start in life. One of the most meaningful parts of my work is partnering with veterans organizations and providing select dogs that go on to become service dogs at no cost to the veteran.
Today, Blissful Bernedoodles is centered on raising exceptional dogs with intention, care, and purpose placing them with families and individuals whose lives they truly enrich.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Like any small business built from the ground up, it hasn’t always been a smooth road. Building a reputable breeding program takes a lot of time, dedication, and constant learning. There are challenges with maintaining the highest standards for health, genetics, and care, while also educating people about responsible breeding practices.
Another challenge has been balancing the emotional side of the work. You become very attached to the puppies you raise, so sending them off to their new homes can be bittersweet even though you know they’re going to loving families.
At the end of the day, the challenges are always outweighed by the rewards. Seeing the joy these dogs bring to families, and knowing some go on to serve veterans as service dogs, makes every step of the journey worth it.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
At Blissful Bernedoodles, I specialize in raising well bred Bernedoodles with a strong focus on health, temperament, and early socialization. My goal is to raise dogs that not only make wonderful family companions but also have the temperament and stability needed for therapy or service work.
One of the things I’m most proud of is providing select dogs to veterans organizations, where they go on to become service dogs at no cost to the veteran. Knowing a dog raised here can help change someone’s life in that way is incredibly meaningful.
Another thing I’m especially proud of is the incredible homes and opportunities many of my puppies have gone on to experience. Blissful Bernedoodles have been welcomed by families from all walks of life, including an Olympic medal swimmer, a current NFL player, and a fashion designer and model to mention a few. Some of our dogs have also been featured in commercials and advertising campaigns. It’s always exciting to see where these dogs end up, but no matter where they go, my focus remains the same raising exceptional dogs that bring joy, companionship, and purpose to the people they’re placed with.
What sets my program apart is the level of care and intention that goes into every puppy. They are raised in a hands on, family environment where they receive early socialization, attention, and structure from the very beginning. My focus has always been on quality, temperament, and responsible breeding ensuring each puppy is set up for success in their future home.

- Reservation Process: Families can join the waitlist and reserve a puppy with a deposit, with the remaining balance due prior to pickup.
- Service Dog Program: Select puppies are donated to veterans organizations at no cost to the veteran. Donations from supporters help make this possible and allow the program to continue placing service dogs with those who need them most.
