Daily Inspiration: Meet JazzoDaChief

Today we’d like to introduce you to JazzoDaChief.

Hi JazzoDaChief , please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’ve always had a love for music and knew I wanted to do something with it, but I only really started taking my rap career seriously a couple months ago. I got to a point where I was like, “If I’m gonna do this, I gotta really do it.” So I started putting more time into the music, my image, and building JazzoDaChief as a brand. I’m still at the beginning, but I’ve already seen a lot of progress, and that’s what’s made me want to keep going even harder.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I think one of the biggest struggles has just been figuring everything out as I go. I’m still pretty new to taking this seriously, so I’ve had to learn the music side, the business side, and how to actually get people to pay attention. There’s definitely been moments where I questioned myself, but I think those moments just made me want to work harder.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a rapper and an artist, but I’m also focused on building a whole identity around JazzoDaChief. I’d say my biggest thing is being myself and not trying to sound or move like everybody else. I’m still figuring out exactly where this is going, but I’m proud of how much I’ve been able to build in such a short amount of time. What sets me apart is really just my personality, my style, and the fact that I’m not afraid to be different. I’m just getting started, and I think that’s what makes it exciting.

How do you define success?
To me, success is being able to look at how far I’ve come and know I’m still growing. I live by HBM — Humble, Blessed, Motivated. As long as I stay humble, appreciate what I have, and stay motivated to reach the next level, I consider that success.
