Daily Inspiration: Meet Jalyn Bowers

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jalyn Bowers.

Hi Jalyn, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
This hasn’t been an easy journey to become the next sensation, but I’m no stranger to putting on a show. I made my first musical debut in 2022 with my song ‘DiggiRiggiDong’, which I classifies as an “Introduction song”, I felt like it showcases my ability to switch flows and expressive vocal ability but that was only a very small portion of what I was able to do. Soon I went on to performing on stages in state pride festivals and small event gatherings, at that time Iwent on to release three more singles titled ‘Elite Mode’, ‘Make a Statement’, and ‘PartyParty”.

From a very early age I’ve always been a performer, as most kids my parents introduced music at a very early age thanks to their parents who introduced them to the genres Hip-Hop, Rap, Soul, and Pop music. From there I went on to discover other genres of music that peaked their interest such as Jazz, Techno, Rock, and Classical; Which has also taken me down a path in dance. Receiving a scholarship at the age of 13 and has learned the foundations of Ballet, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Modern, and Tap.

Everything I’ve learned growing up has set me up for what will ultimately become a change in perspective. With the foundation I’ve spent years building with help from influences such as television, artist of every form, different cultures, as well as different subjects outside of the creative spectrum to further increase their chances of understanding themselves better as an entertainer as well as those who support them on this journey.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
With a smile on my face I say that it has not been an easy road and that was to be expected. I’ve noticed that I tend to work well under pressure, being able to maintain my composure throughout some sort of difficult time or stressful situation. It could be a trauma response but it has lead for me to overcome, some of what I would consider , difficult challenges. From booking my own shows, networking, promoting/marketing, building my brand, and so much more. It has all been nothing but a rollercoaster of emotions and mental fatigues. But to this day I still continue to push towards my goals and to strive to make some sort of change in my life.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
The one thing I love about my work is that I never stop learning. No matter the field of what I do I am always learning new tactics to implement into my everyday life. Learning how to navigate through an industry that if filled to the brim with so many undiscovered talent.
I mostly focus on music but I do have other facets that I enjoy doing such as dancing, voice acting, and streaming. My brand is mostly focused on “It’s alright to be yourself, no one else can do it better than you can”, I want for others to feel comfortable when they are either watching one of my streams or at one of my shows. My music is to invoke the feeling of wanting to dance with joy, to conquer the day with fierce determination, to incite the urge to create something that will make them either hate it or love it. From what I have been told, I am someone who won’t sugar coat things, my intentions are to never bring anyone down nor is it to create an unwelcoming vibe for anyone who may be around me. I’m proud of how far I’ve came without the support of any sort of huge company or label but with the community I have built myself over the years.

What are your plans for the future?
My plans for the future are to continue to grow- no continue to reach as many people as I can if not by music then my interactions throughout my journey while showcasing more than just my musical endeavors. Be more involved within the communities I that align with my brand or just standing as a human being and never missing out on a opportunity to be the voice that is/needs to be heard.
