Today we’d like to introduce you to Faded
FADED, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
We are at three piece all original multi genre Rock and Blues band. All three of us grew up highly involved with music and eager to make it our dream since a young age. Our lead singer , bass player, and pianist is Garrett Pierce his identical twin brother is Gavin Pierce who is our lead guitarist and Recording producer on our album. Together they started the group FADED in 2020. In January 2024 they met Hunter Peterson AKA “Hunny P”. The first time they played together it was an instant connection and bond. They knew they had found who they’ve been looking for to complete the three-piece band. They knew they found someone who was just as dedicated and hard-working and who wanted to make this dream into a reality ,which takes an incredible amount of hard work, passion, dedication and drive. They have been working endless amount of hours over this past year putting in an extreme amount of time with practice, promoting, recording and getting themselves out locally all around the Metro Detroit area. Over the last 6 months they have played with a ton of national Acts such as The Black Moods, Anthony Gomes, The ultimate doors tribute ,Strutter ,Completely Unchained Van Halen ,That Arena rock show and more. They have headlined at Blind Pig and Crofoot. They have also been able to play recently at the Machine Shop and The vault ,as well as Diesel Lounge , Token Lounge, loving touch and more. Their first out of state gig they got to open up for National act at the Devon Amphitheater in Decatur Illinois rocking it out to almost 4,000 people. During this very busy year of promoting themselves and getting out there as much as possible in the local music scene ,they also worked on recording their first album .It is going to be released in person only at the album release show on March 29th 2025 ,they’ll be playing at The Token Lounge
The album will also be available at Future shows following the album release party. They have already released half of the album as singles online on all music streaming platforms. They will be releasing five new singles off the album to all online music streaming over the course of the next 4 to 5 months . They also just finished wrapping up their first music video “The Money Man” which is being released on March 7th 2025. The song “The Money Man” actually is focused around the music industry, and staying independent. One of the things about Faded is they are an independent band. So the music video focuses in on how they are trying to stay independent in the music industry .So moving forward we hope to take a tour in the future as well as continue to open up for National Acts and pushing the first 12 song album called ” See You At The Top ” .
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Honestly I don’t think any road is smooth when you’re working very hard to achieve a goal. You’re always going to have some hills to climb but it’s absolutely worth it in the end. You learn a ton, and you know you’re just trying to reach your ending goal. I would say the biggest struggle so far has been making the album. Faded did everything on their own with recording and producing, so it took an endless amount of hours , time and patience to get it completed. It was a very exciting moment the day those albums arrived in our hands.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I think one thing that sets Faded apart from others, is we do not try to stay in one genre of music .We don’t want to have the label of being just rock or just Blues .We love all genres of music and I think people will pick up on that even hearing us live or online for the first time. We like high energy rock, classic rock, smooth sexy blues , raw high energy blues, and honestly so much more. We love music ,we love the art of it all, we love the passion that it brings. We love to feel it in our soul .We stay very high energy on stage too, we love to fully involve the crowd and get into the crowd as well every time we perform. Locally we hear that we’re very known as high energy on stage. We want to get on that stage as maybe someone you’ve never heard of ,but leave that stage as someone you’ll never forget
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
To be truly honest I don’t think luck has a whole lot to do with it. We do feel we were lucky to find one another ,because finding musicians that equally have the same drive as you is difficult to find. As far as business goes it takes an extreme amount of hard work and dedication which yes, could lead you to situations where luck could arise, but it definitely isn’t going to come without the drive that gets you there
