Daily Inspiration: Meet Elizabeth Reyes-Nightingale “AKA: Rainbow Liz”

Today we’d like to introduce you to Elizabeth Reyes-Nightingale “AKA: Rainbow Liz”.

Hi Elizabeth, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
A Meaningful Dream has a long history with many twists and turns. I, Rainbow Liz, knew that I wanted to do something online, I wanted to share my personal story, yet be impactful and a source of inspiration for others. Time spent on Earth is limited- one day, death will welcome us with open arms. Our experience here on this planet is truly “like a dream”. Life is full of mystery, challenges, celebrations, beauty, and there is so much yet to be discovered. I wanted to share with others how they could create their personal lives, to be intentional, special, creative, mindful, and beautiful. To encourage others to follow their dreams, and make the most out of our existence. Through witnessing A Meaningful Dream, may you to make the best of your meaningful dream. She came to life in 2013, beginning as a blog on a variety of topics such as food, beauty, dream interpretations, personal thoughts, art, college, and thrifted fashion. Then after a year, I paused. I felt confused, unsure of my direction in life, and was going through a lot of personal traumas through family and the toxic relationship I was in at the time. I was also in college working anywhere from 2-4 part-time jobs, just to barely get by. I was exhausted and felt uninspired.

2014 was when my first major “spiritual awakening” began. I was introduced to the concept of spirituality, mindfulness, meditation, crystal healing, magic and etc. Having grown up in an extreme Catholic background from both sides of my family, I was resistant to all of this at first. Yet, these topics kept showing up- I felt like they were chasing me, to be honest. I was so afraid of stepping outside of what I had always known, even though I found more truth for myself, much more than my Catholic upbringing provided. However, I had been surrounded by the occult throughout my life, but never gave it much attention. My Mom briefly was a tarot reader and my dad used to take me to a metaphysical shop with him when I was younger- but I never knew that then. The first time magic appeared to me in my adult life, I was gifted a Rose Quartz from a friend, which later gave me INTENSE pressure where my third eye was located- it almost scared me away for good. But after some investigation, I discovered I was simply opening up. Then shortly after, another friend of mine, gifted me my very first tarot deck. She was headed to a work conference in New Orleans, where the occult thrives by the way and has been for many years. She sent me the website of the shop she was purchasing my deck from. She refused to let me pay for it too, even though I insisted. She said something along the lines of “I feel like I need to do this for you”. The website was rather limited with their images, so I picked solely off seeing the Luna card from the deck. The Aquarian Tarot was the name. Turns out, many years later I discovered my father purchased this same deck as his first too. At this point, I finally accepted that this was coming into my life for a reason. When she brought me back my deck, I was so excited I cried. So, I began teaching myself how to read tarot and deepen my bond with crystals. Working with crystals was incredibly easy for me, as a child, I was always collecting rocks, and even crystals that I was unaware of!

Around the end of 2015, friends of mine began to ask me for readings. My first paid reading I was so nervous about. I was concerned that I couldn’t remember all 78 cards and their meanings and held onto the booklet so tightly. Until it went MIA the day before my first scheduled appointment. I worried for nothing, as the reading went extremely well. Not only that, I discovered that I truly do have a gift for this work. As I learned more, I realized that I truly can see into the future and pick up on things without anyone needing to tell me anything about it. This was a powerful realization of mine, and I quickly realized that this was my path in life. I never expected to fall into spiritual work. I never saw myself as an intuitive, a tarot reader, crystal reader, teacher, or anything. But it made perfect sense for me after all.

In September 2016, I began working part-time at a local metaphysical store, while working full-time at a local credit union. I walked in and they somehow sensed I was an intuitive reader and scheduled me for an interview that day. The day of the interview, I was hired on the spot. Truly a magical moment. I had been wanting to resurface A Meaningful Dream by this point, and I definitely wanted all things metaphysical to be a part of it, but I felt I wasn’t ready. Then, April of 2017, A Meaningful Dream arose once again, but this time, with two friends of mine as business partners. Together the three of us collaborated, created a new website, held meetings, blogged, had photoshoots and etc. It was a lot of fun, and it gave me the push to get back to it. Another good friend of mine made a really gorgeous logo for us, and it was perfect. Unfortunately, after less than a year, we were head-budding, couldn’t see eye to eye, and one of my partners stepped away to deal with personal life matters. Eventually, my friend who took time off removed herself from A Meaningful Dream. Then after some time, my other friend did the same. We agreed to be separate yet supportive of one another instead. This meant I was doing A Meaningful Dream solo once again. While all of this felt incredibly sad and heartbreaking, I saw that it was always meant to be this way. However, if it weren’t for them, perhaps I wouldn’t have restarted A Meaningful Dream. Everything happens for a reason, even if it’s not as you planned.

In 2017, I quit my full-time job as a banker and pursued working part-time at Mama Tracy’s and A Meaningful Dream. I began reading with tarot, then eventually developed my own personal way of reading crystals too. In 2018, I moved to Illuminate Your Spirit, and only a month in, was offered a position at the Boston Tea Room. For the next year and some months, almost two years, I was reading at the Boston Tea Room AND pursuing A Meaningful Dream. This was also the same year I created my most popular alternative bundle for smudging, or energetic cleansing, which I call “Blessing Bundle”. The same year I began making full moon water, every full moon. I also held my very first “vendor booth” at the Michigan Psychic Fair the weekend of my birthday, in October 2018. It was such a successful win for me, as it helped boost my confidence as a business owner and opened me to new people. At this fair, I crossed paths with a new (at the time) local metaphysical store called Evenstar’s Chalice. Where I was invited to sell my products under A Meaningful Dream at their shop then eventually started to do readings under A Meaningful Dream here too. In between all of this, I was a part of other “pop-up” events all over Michigan, co-taught a class with a friend, created A Meaningful Dream’s YouTube channel, did many live free Facebook readings, taught my own mini session about how to utilize crystals with tarot at Readers Studio in 2019, did readings pretty much everywhere, including the backseat of my car, and learned so much about magic. I even got to fly to New Orleans with friends and visited the store my very first tarot deck came from.

December of 2019, I decided to leave the Boston Tea Room in order to work solely for A Meaningful Dream full-time. 2020 was my first year of truly being an entrepreneur. I took A Meaningful Dream much more seriously. I knew A Meaningful Dream wanted to be bigger and better than what I was allowing. I was no longer afraid and had faith, that this was my life’s work. A Meaningful Dream is in fact, my soul purpose. Despite COVID-19 hitting in 2020, my first year going solo ended up being the best decision I ever made in my entire life. I faced all the same challenges as many other small businesses did. I received no extra financial help from the government, to help keep me going. It was only up to me.

A Meaningful Dream is here to inspire, empower, teach, enlighten and raise the collective consciousness by sharing how to, exist authenticity, embrace your truth, love unconditionally, listen to your intuition, self-heal, manifest dreams, connect and work with Mother Earth, follow the Moon and stars while living a meaningful holistic life of color, art, beauty, wonder, and abundance.

Now, A Meaningful Dream is flourishing and growing fast. I, Rainbow Liz, read tarot, crystals, and herbs. I now have a beautiful website, www.ameaningfuldream.com, with a beautiful logo created by my now husband. Along with an apothecary full of Luna Essence (full moon water mixed with herbs, essential oils, color, Reiki, charged under every unique Full Moon), smoke wands, crystals, and soon-to-be other items. I also do energy healings, that combine my teachings of Reiki (a Japanese art form of energy healing), Shamanism, Curanderismo, (Hispanic art form of healing). You can find A Meaningful Dream on YouTube every Wednesday at 8 pm EST for the “Rainbow Awakening Hour” where I offer a collective intuitive tarot, crystal, and herbal reading, along with energy healing followed by a sound bath. I also do a series called “Luna Wisdom” where I dress as the Full Moon and share what each Full Moon means, along with sharing Limpias videos, and readings for every zodiac season. You can also find A Meaningful Dream on Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. A Meaningful Dream even has some of her handmade offerings at Evenstar’s Chalice and the Calavera Rose Shop.

My psychic abilities have grown expeditiously since going solo too, and I truly don’t need any tools to read for someone, but I enjoy using them anyway. Speaking of, A Meaningful Dream is in the midst of yet another transition. I received a call to create a psychedelic oracle deck (similar to tarot, but with based off the artist’s desired structure) based off my magic mushrooms, LSD, and cannabis experiences called: Let’s Take A Trip. To simply share the Universal truths, secrets, and mysterious uncovered while in these altered states while being an advocate for safe, spiritual, consciousness evolving, and healing practices, psychedelics provide. For this reason, I am closing my books for readings October 15th, 2021 for the foreseeable future. This is so I can fully dive into creating Let’s Take A Trip, which I am currently working on via photoshop, and is scheduled to be completed by June of 2022. Let’s Take A Trip is meant to be experienced through all the senses, therefore I created additional items to use with this oracle deck. Items such as Mary Jane Bundle (energetic cleansing, not smoking), a mushroom candle, a mushroom spray, mushroom crystals, a mushroom altar, a lollipop, a PLUR (peace, love, unity, and respect) bracelet, a pinecone, and music created by plants, to go with each card. There are 108 cards in this deck and it will come with a deep meaningful booklet to guide you on your journey. A Meaningful Dream will also be donating $11 per deck purchase to Decriminalize Nature Michigan, to continue making the use of entheogens legal in the state of Michigan! You can now pre-order at igg.me/at/lets-take-a-trip. Along with all of this, I also plan on launching classes and expanding my apothecary too.

Overall, A Meaningful Dream has had a wild ride through the cosmos. Her story is only beginning, as there is so much yet to unfold and to be discovered. Truly an exciting time!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it has definitely not been a smooth road. When first beginning, A Meaningful Dream didn’t have a clear direction. It took between 2013-2020 for me to understand exactly what A Meaningful Dream was, and to be brave enough to go for it. I was also really unsure how to even start a business, let alone run a business. I also haven’t received a ton of support from my family for doing “metaphysical work”, either. More recently they have come around though. There were countless times where lack of money prevented me from doing everything I wanted to do too, but I actually found that this was a good thing for me. Because now I am extremely resourceful and am great at making “something out of nothing”. Once COVID-19 in 2020 happened, my business took a temporary hit until I transitioned to have more of an online presence.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?

A Meaningful Dream is known for many things. Most people would say A Meaningful Dream’s colorful, unique, honest, loving, life-changing approach to readings, handmade offerings, art, and energy healings. A Meaningful Dream truly embraces all colors of the rainbow, and over time A Meaningful Dream’s audience gave life to the name “Rainbow Liz”.

I am most proud of the fact that despite not being entirely sure what A Meaningful Dream was meant to be, I kept going until it came to me.

A Meaningful Dream understands that everything is magic, including both the light and dark moments of our lives. There is purpose and meaning in everything we do, whether we realize it or not. A Meaningful Dream is psychedelic in nature, for she colorfully opens your heart, mind, and soul to new perspectives, Universal truths, magic, and mystery to trigger growth, love, and healing within oneself. She truly wants to help raise the collective consciousness and inspire other to follow their dreams, no matter what. A Meaningful Dream is brutally, yet lovingly honest when it comes to offering spiritual guidance too. A Meaningful Dream is the rainbow bridge between the cosmos.

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
For those who are just starting out, remember to take your time. There is absolutely no need to rush the process. Take every failure as a lesson or a strength, let go of expectations, go with the flow, and be willing to do things that make you uncomfortable yet you know are good for you. Do not allow the opinions of others hold you back from what you desire to do. Trust your intuition even if there is no logical reasoning- it’s always right. Do your research, work your networks, meet new people that are like-minded. Surround yourself with people who truly support you and want to see you succeed. Do not limit yourself or your ability to manifest, or make something happen in this reality. Remember, we are infinite beings with infinite possibilities. Create a routine for your business too. Be willing to change and learn new things as you go along too. Learn from those you look up to or can teach you about your practice/work, like a mentor. Use your resources wisely too, this includes being creative with what you already have without having to use money. Don’t let money get in the way of your desires. Understand that everything will happen in divine timing, so if it doesn’t work the first time, that doesn’t mean it isn’t meant to be. Embody your business practices. Work smarter not harder, find ways to an even exchange without having to burn yourself out. Take breaks and cry whenever necessary. Do not force anything if it isn’t working. Practice patience with thy self and self-forgiveness too. Say “I am” mantras daily to boost your confidence, strength, and willpower. Be disciplined with your work too, not everything happens overnight. Enjoy the process in between and remember the end destination isn’t the goal. And lastly, go for it! Do not underestimate your power.
