Today we’d like to introduce you to Caleb Silvers.
Hi Caleb, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
I’ve always wanted to be an actor. As a kid, I would make YouTube videos and Vines with my family. At the age of 17, I became friends with a well-known celebrity and he gave me amazing tips on how to start. I was never handed anything, but I knew I’d have to work hard to get to the top. I started by auditioning for student films and small projects. I did not get many callbacks at first. I was not discouraged and kept pushing. My mom would go with me to every audition and was my number one supporter. I finally landed a role as a military officer in Batman v Superman. After that, roles kept rolling in. I decided to do the unexpected and joined the United States Army. I put my acting career on hold for a couple of years. After coming home, I decided to pick up where I left off and haven’t stopped yet. Although I’m a reservist and often called on Active orders for the Army, I still manage to work around it and push for my dreams. Now, I’ve been in nearly a hundred projects, including movies, TV series, music videos, and commercials. I also direct and produce when an opportunity comes. Huge projects are pouring in now more than ever, and I’m so grateful for all the support. I want to give big thanks to God our Creator, my family, friends, followers, and many Native supporters.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I don’t think anyone in this industry would say it’s been a smooth road. It takes long nights and dedication to make it. My biggest struggle has been fitting opportunities into my busy schedule, but I make it work. Sometimes the pay is low, and I just do it for the love of acting. I made it this far… I will never give up!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m an actor, director, and producer. I’m best known for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley, and Stealing Jokes. I proudly accepted a Telly Award for a Hallmark movie called Cupid’s Christmas! I played the role of Jack and was also an Assistant Director and Co-Producer.
I have the biggest passion for film and will go above and beyond on every set. I have very diverse looks and can portray many characters. I bring my A game, and I deliver with an outstanding performance.
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up.
My favorite childhood memory was camping with my whole family. Nothing but the fresh air and bonding time. We went hiking, to the lake, and hungout by the fire all night long. It’s the simple things in life that can mean the most.
