Today we’d like to introduce you to Ariana Weatherspoon.
Hi Ariana, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
My name is Ariana and first, I’d like to thank you for this opportunity! It means so much!
I’ve always aspired to be model since I was a little girl, posing for pictures everywhere. I would go to different places/cities—and everywhere I’d go, people would say, “you look like a model”, or “you should be a model!”
After going through some trials and tribulations almost two years ago, I had a friend ask me to model in the Hair Verzus at the Garden Theater in Detroit in 2021. I made the decision that it was time for me to go after every dream I wanted to accomplish and I’m on the path to doing just that!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has definitely NOT been easy. One of my biggest struggles was being in an extremely toxic & abusive relationship for about two years. It took a lot to rebuild my self-esteem and self-worth from that relationship, as well as heal from the trauma. I didn’t let it hold me hostage-I overcame it! And now it is just a small chapter in my book that I’m currently working on. It helped mold me into the extremely strong woman that I am today. I am extremely grateful to God for bringing me out and I hope that my story can help other women who might be going through a similar situation. There is hope and life after abusive relationships.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Outside of working my regular job, I am a model, I’m an influencer on Instagram @arianajanae, I sing and I am also partnered with Amazon as Amazon Influencer as well. I’m most proud of the fact that I am 26 years old and can say that I am truly chasing my dreams. No matter what adversities I might have faced or the fears I might have had, I am still doing it. What sets me apart from others is my personality, my go-getter mindset, how I stay positive no matter what, and the way I love and care for people. I truly want to make an impact on the world and help people
