Hi Andre, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Born and raised in Michigan City, Indiana. Raised by a single mother of 5. Grew up with my father in and out of prison and struggling. Music came to me as a way to express myself and tell my story
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It’s been far from easy. 8 years in prison being black in America and trying to figure myself out along the way was definitely a struggle
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Music has been my passion since I was about 8. I grew up listening to rappers like 2 PAC, Jadakiss, Scarface, Lil Wayne, 8 Ball & MJG and a list of others. I’ve always loved the ability to tell a story in a musical art
Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
You’re not goin to get the support of those close to you the way you expect. Keep going never give up and know there’s no such thang as a bad song
