Daily Inspiration: Meet Amy Muller

Today we’d like to introduce you to Amy Muller.

Hi Amy, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I grew up an athlete, soccer was my world. I played at the collegiate level, and like many athletes, I faced my share of mental health challenges, body image struggles, and the pressures of high performance. There were times I felt isolated. But over the years, I found healing through open conversations about those experiences and, perhaps more importantly, I found strength in the stories of others who had walked similar paths.

That journey sparked the idea behind the Women’s Sports & Health Expo. This event comes from a deeply personal place a desire to create something bigger than a single story or moment. We wanted to build a space where women and girls of all ages could feel seen, supported, and celebrated. Whether you’re a 7-year-old girl exploring if sports are “your thing,” or a woman in her 70s seeking to stay active and joyful in movement. We’re here for all of it.

The Expo is more than an event. It’s a movement grounded in connection, celebration, and education.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Like any meaningful journey, it’s been a mix of smooth stretches and bumpy turns. Starting something new, especially something this bold, always comes with uncertainty. But we’ve been incredibly fortunate to have amazing partners who have believed in the mission from day one. They took a chance on us and helped bring this vision to life.

Of course, there have been challenges, building something from the ground up takes grit, especially when you’re trying to shift culture and create something that hasn’t really existed in this way before. But the response from the community has been overwhelmingly positive. People are not only open to this movement but they’re hungry for it. That energy keeps us moving forward.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m the Executive Director of the Women’s Sports & Health Expo, and at the heart of what we do is this: we create space. Space for women and girls to feel empowered in their bodies, supported in their wellness journeys, and connected to a larger community that’s moving together.

We specialize in bringing movement, sport, health, and culture together under one roof, in a way that feels inclusive, uplifting, and real. We’re not just here for elite athletes or fitness pros, we’re here for every woman, every girl, at every stage of life. Whether you’re curious about trying a new sport, working through postpartum changes, or navigating how to stay active in menopause, we want you to feel like there’s a place for you here.

What I’m most proud of is that we’re creating something that’s deeply human. This isn’t just an event, it’s a platform that amplifies women’s voices, shares real stories, and provides access to resources that are often hard to find. We’re building community, not just hosting a day.

What sets us apart is the lifespan approach. We don’t focus on one season of life but we support the entire journey. From a 7-year-old discovering the joy of movement to a 70-year-old looking to stay strong and connected, we’re here for all of it. And we truly mean it when we say: together we move.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Be personal, be honest, and don’t be afraid to be vulnerable. The connections that have meant the most to me have come from real, human conversations and not polished pitches. When you believe deeply in what you’re doing, like I do with this mission, networking becomes less of a task and more of a joy. Passion is contagious, and people can feel that.

I’ve also learned to approach every conversation as a chance to learn something new or see the world from a different perspective. We all carry unique experiences and stories, and that diversity of thought is what makes mentorship and networking so powerful. The more open you are, the more meaningful the connections become. Honestly, I find it fun. It’s like collecting wisdom as you go.
