Daily Inspiration: Meet Abigail Irvine

Today we’d like to introduce you to Abigail Irvine

Hi Abigail, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Dear Reader,

My name is Abigail Paige Irvine. I live in Grand Marais, Michigan, and I am 19 years old. For as long as I can remember, I have been fascinated by the idea of owning and running a business. By the time I was around 7 or 8, I was already plotting and coming up with business plans, obsessed with the idea of earning my own money and securing a future where I could one day buy my dream home.

After graduating high school 1.5 years early, thanks to being homeschooled from K-12 and working at my own pace, I knew it was time to focus on exactly what I wanted out of life. With a strong family history in real estate, it came as no surprise to anyone when I studied for and passed my Michigan real estate license exam the moment I turned 18. Although I’ve decided not to pursue real estate full-time, I know this skill will play a crucial role in my future real estate investing ventures. I’m incredibly grateful to have taken that step at such a young age.

Beyond real estate, I have two other main passions: health and content creation. From a very early age, I remember helping my mom with her social media clients, which I believe sparked my love for content creation. However, in 2021, I experienced a major health scare that made me lose sight of who I was and what I stood for. To rediscover myself, I started a YouTube channel and Instagram account focused on home decor, real estate, and hospitality.

While I was passionate about home decorating and real estate, I felt a missing link in my content. I couldn’t shake the feeling that I wasn’t 100% satisfied. Eventually, I realized I was drawn to creating the kind of content I enjoyed watching: fitness and health. However, my rocky past and lack of family support for my fitness journey held me back. Instead, I stuck to creating content I didn’t truly enjoy.

A single click of a button, an answered phone call, and a packed suitcase led me to one of my biggest adventures yet: the 2024 Disney College Program. Staying true to my hospitality and real estate path, I landed my dream role in the land of sunshine and pure happiness. As someone who isn’t a huge fan of winter, I was almost certain I’d stay in Florida forever. Naturally, I wanted to document the entire experience, so my YouTube channel became a way to preserve my memories and track my journey toward finding myself again.

Slowly but surely, I became more comfortable sharing who I truly was and what I genuinely enjoyed. In March 2024, I decided to take a leap of faith and sign up for my first-ever marathon on Grand Island, Michigan. After hiding my fitness journey for so long, I was done holding back. I was done worrying about what others thought and painting a picture of myself that didn’t align with who I really was. Running that marathon became my way of proving to myself and others just how much running and fitness had helped me recover.

Running, combined with the Florida sunshine, fully healed me. However, after about seven months of working as a resort concierge at Disney World’s Pop Century Resort, it became clear that my heart was more invested in content creation and inspiring others to become their healthiest, strongest selves than solving vacation conundrums. Despite falling in love with Florida and its endless opportunities for running, I decided to move back to Michigan to further pursue my content creation journey.

Throughout the summer, fall, and now into 2025, this journey has continued to evolve alongside me. It has brought some of my highest highs, like crossing the finish line of my first marathon in second place overall and first among females, as well as some of my lowest lows, like struggling with living in a place that doesn’t feel like home. There were moments when I questioned why I left a simpler, more stable life in Florida. But anytime doubt creeps in, I’m reminded of the love, support, and encouragement I receive as I continue growing my platforms and working toward my goals.

Staying in Florida would have been the easier path, with its predictable stability. Moving back to Michigan to become fully self-employed was the harder, more uncertain choice. But I’ve learned to embrace the unknown and live for the adventure. I genuinely believe I can do more good for the world by using my gift: inspiring, motivating, and supporting others to lead healthy, balanced lives.

Life is too short to spend it doing anything other than what you love. That’s why I chose the hard path, no matter the sacrifices it required. I truly feel this is just the beginning of my entrepreneurial journey, and I can’t wait to wake up every day doing what I love.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My road to financial freedom and entrepreneurship has been anything but smooth! Between letting my mental and physical health spiral so far out of control that I nearly lost the will to live and having to leave a place that felt more like home than Michigan ever will, I view my entrepreneurial journey as both the biggest blessing and curse I could have ever been granted.

This path has, at times, made me fall face-down in the dirt—literally. It’s not something I would wish on anyone. And because of this, I feel a deep responsibility to be a voice for other young entrepreneurs and business owners. To remind them of a hard truth: you can build the best business in the world and make millions of dollars, but it will never be enough. You will never feel completely satisfied.

That’s why it’s so crucial to enjoy the ride as much as possible and prioritize your mental and physical health above all else.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
My specialties lie in creating high-quality content that helps brands within the health and hospitality industries communicate the value they bring to their audience. I have to say the thing I am most proud of is opening up and not being afraid to share my life on my YouTube channel. It has brought me so many amazing opportunities, and I am forever grateful for every single viewer who watches my videos and supports my journey.

My intention to help people become their healthiest, best selves—whether that be through creating amazing content for my platforms or for my clients—is the entirety of why I do what I do. I don’t do it for the fame, and I certainly don’t do it for the money. Instead, I do it out of fulfilling my lifelong mission to help others and create a community where everybody feels they can safely be themselves.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
